The next thing needing done to my wee s12 is a manual conversion. At the moment im scouring for an s13 manual box (cheap and plentiful) but thought i should check that this will mate ok to the et block? I assume that if an s13 runs a DET, then the ET should be the same story.
Also, as well as a 'box, a presume the only other things needed under the bonnet are a flywheel and clutch? ie, the prop should be the same for autos and manuals?
Thanks in advance for the advice! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbsup2.gif)
Ca18 Et Auto To Manual?
well i notice that you use words like bonnet(hood) and prop(driveshaft?) so i am guessing that you are not in north america, but at any rate, the auto and manual driveshafts are diffrent lenghts, and the mounting points for the transsmission crossmember are also in diffrent places, check out IggyEguanas write up for the best answers concering this http://www.club-s12.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=18215

18et's came in an auto?
I was told by the previous owner of my car that mine was previously auto when still owned by Nissan. After they took it off the showroom floors and from tour, they converted it to manual. Explains why I have a practically new CA auto transmission sitting around.
huh you learn something new everyday lol I thought all turbo models came in only manual
overseas, particularly Japan, they did. this fellow may have an Aus grey market import...
MANY JDM tubros were auto also

Mine is a standard auto. They were sold in both formats in the UK.
