There are RULES to the Tech sections, and they are as follows:

1. SEARCH. If we see that your question has been asked a thousand times, and I find your answer immediately in a seach, your thread WILL BE DELETED.

2. READ. At least look at the topic titles for *a few* pages of the Tech section pertaining to your question. If we find your question is answered on the page you posted or the one before it, very likely your thread WILL BE DELETED.

3. CHOOSE. Pick the CORRECT topic section for your technical question. DO NOT post your question in "General Tech" if it is obviously covered in one of the other sections. There is no excuse for this, when the sections are VERY clearly labeled. Chances are, if you look in the proper section in the first place, you would have found your answer to begin with.

4. TITLE. Pick a proper title for your thread, that SAYS WHAT IT IS ABOUT. DO NOT ask a general question like "R200 Diff?" or "Need help!!!". Make sure your thread title TELLS US WHAT IT IS ABOUT. If it does not, your thread WILL BE DELETED.

THIS WILL BE ENFORCED in ALL the Technical sections.

i seen both diffrent versions of these, and i will conferm thats them  good info for those who don't know, so i guess all thats left is to make lists of all the possible 'bolt in engines' for ither crossmember, huh? i kinda know theres a few for each, but i'll let someone else write that one up, if they want

and on a side note....if ever doing a ka trans swap into a vg series 200sx,there is NO trans mount slotting.

Looks like a similar position to what the VQ would be... except higher...

bumping this up: So to clarify a 4cyl like a ka wont fit the vg crossmember?  It looks so close but does look like it would sit higher on the vg crossmember if it bolted on.

seishukuDec 7, 2010, 10:53 pm · #9

No, not even close. It would sit forward about an inch more, and like 2 inches higher.

On the topic of VG x-members and such, if the s12 engine x-member is similar to the 240, and the 240 is similar to the infiniti m30, could it be said the m30 would also be similar to the s12?

This is all hypothetic speculation but someone who has been around these could confirm their likeness....
