heres an easier way to access the temp sensor.

simply trim the rear timing cover to ease access to the sensor

that gear to the right is the drivers side cam gear, the hose to the left is near the thermostat housing

sorry, thanks. how did u go about trimming it? i checked it out and i dont know what i would use for that lol

i used some tin snips, it wasnt easy, but really worth it

Just got this part.  I wanted to give everyone the part # because the first one I got was incorrect.

Nissan part # 22630-01P01  Sensor Head Temp

It is $35.12 list but I got mine for $25 cuz I have a hook up

Yeah my Vg30 on the drifter is the easiest car to work on ever. I can do timing belt changes on the fly! Shit is so cut up, I personally used a dremel, only part of the timing cover I have is for the cam marks, all the other shit you can figure out using the oil pump mark and crank pulley key. Once you have taken your vg apart 5 or more times you begin to give a fuck and just want it to be fast the next time.
