First off, update your location information... go to "My Controls", "Edit Profile Information".

I think you mean a fuel rail... CA18DET will be a hard one to find... might be easier to get one custom made.

The availibility of parts like this is *very* dependent on your region, that's why putting your locaztion is reaquired.

He may be talking about the ECCS intake manifold. But, there again, "good luck"

Aussie? RWD CA18DET and CA18DE parts should be easier to come by there. Some AUS Nissans actually came with them.

Google for CA18DET FSM. Theres one on this forum somewhere in pdf. All the DET info is there.

No Aus-delivered CA18DETs here wink.gif

We got FWD CA16DEs and FWD CA18DEs, though.

Not even your grey market stuffs?

My bad. I thought you guys got the early S13 silvia and 180sx.

Nah, we missed the S13 altogether, as an official Nissan import. But we can get them through other channels.

Engine-wise, the turbo motors are very easy to obtain through import wreckers.

To be honest you'll have difficulty finding an intake manifold for an s12 series ca18det. The long motor is the same as an s13 ca18det. You might be better off getting hold of a manifold off a dead s13 ca18det, (should be plenty of those around), and also the intake piping etc. They're a much better design anyway.

Go to the australian s12 community site, there's a link you can click on at the top of the page.

If your saying this motor is a factory fitted S12 CA18DET and you don't have
the inlet manifold, then all I can say is good luck finding another. I doubt if you find one mate.

The S12 version has 8 secondary butterflies as apposed to S13's 4. The heads are different and manifolds are not interchangeable.

To my knowledge there are 3 different heads

1 UK/European type no butterflies
2 S12 8 butterflies
3 S13 4 butterflies

Good luck
