bluke1LOL!
i was accelerating out of a 2nd gear corner at about 5k rpm and heard a thud!! looked in the rearview to see a miata dodging metal parts bouncing down the track.
bluke1Yeah how does swapping your motor out for the kade work with the SCCA class regulations? I was under the impression one of the rules in your class was that you had to use the stock motor.
but i picked up a ka24de from a friend a few days ago that is in really good shape (new seals, good compression, act stage 2 clutch with 5k miles) that is going to live in my racecar. the ca needs to come out anyway to see what caused the problem and i need a few more ponys to keep up with the miatas on the straights, so this is my answer. i will keep and refresh the ca so i can have an scca legal motor for the future. but will run next season with a little more go! pics will follow as progress is made.
