Dropping Resistor?

I was installing a catch can the other day, and moved my dropping resistor like 3 inches......in the process, one of the wires pulled out of the bottom of it. I found this out after I cranked the car, and it ran like poop. Anyway, I soldered the wire back, and now the engine won't fire. pinch2.gif Why......I have no idea. I must of just fried the dropping resistor from maybe getting it too hot from soldering it or something.....I dunno.
Anyway, I posted on Nico about maybe using a ca18de one from a pulsar, and they said to use one from a ca16de pulsar.....anyone try one from either of these engines?

1g dsm also works...there is a wiring diagram for it posted on my how to swap thread....you might get lucky and find one in a junkyard near you.

Thanks Sam.......I ordered a ca16de one from Nissan, which are suppose to work, but for some reason it doesn't, I'll find a dsm one. So is it all 1st gen ones, or only turbo 1st gens?
