First off, I have a ca18det engine. I'm using a ca18de wiring harness and ECU. I am using the ca18det 370cc low impedence injector. Now, my question is, do I need to use resistor with those injectors?
Ca18det Injector Question
Ur answer would be yes... Im sure your gonna run into problems running that ecu and harness,
I thought that you would only need dropping resister if your using the det ECU. Well, I'm not sure so I will use the resister then! Also, I heard the resister used for these injector are 10watt 10ohm resister. Is that correct? Does anybody know if I can pick them up from Radio Shack? Thanks again guys!
Dont use the ECU unless you get it re-tuned.
Leaving the resistors as is will be fine.
That ecu is not tuned for the det so it will be nothing but headaches. If I were you I would take the time to go find the right harness and ecu
Well, SHOOT!!! Wish I've known that before I bought the harness and ecu! Now I gotta go and fine me an ecu. Thanks again. I guess I can still use the harness and do that 60 pin harness crossover. Unless I find me a det harness.
im not sure where your located but i have an extra ca-det wiring harness and ecu since i used a standalone in my setup. and yes you need the dropping resistor unless you do a standalone
its rwd, its out of either a silvia or 180sx jdm that is. i dunno what its worth make me an offer i guess. its not perfect there are some cut wires. i also have 2 extra dsm dropping resistors if you need.
Well, I don't have much, since I've spent most of my money on the other harness! How about 120.00 for both! Other wise just give me a price on your harness? Are you located in California?
