My right half shaft is kaput. Apparently when I put on my new wheels and jacked up the diff, the angle must have put too much force on the bearing(s). I have searched here and not much about repair, just removing. Since the car is 20 yrs old with 237K miles, I\'m sure that it is probably time. So.. my questions are:
1. Are they repairable?
2. Who can fix these things? Even the dealers won\'t mess with them (in Houston, Tx)
3. Any suggestions?
Damn! This car is getting expensive to keep on the road.

need part number for front pilot bearing
Just go to the auto parts store and get a rebuilt one. They should be $60-100.
they are rebuildable, HOWEVER, you have to be able to find the rebuild kit! i do not know of any rebuild kits for our halfshaft.
you\'d be best getting a rebuilt one. (which means someone, somewhere makes a rebuild kit!!!!)
You need to find a local rebuilder. look in the phone book for cv repair. the 200 has a funkey set up so you might have to buy them. there 100 plus core tru carquest and take a week to get but they are brand new.
i need the nissan part number for a front pilot bearing in the rear diff of a 87v6 r200.
and i am not looking for pinion bearing. it is called a front pilot bearing. it is right be hind the flange that bolts to the drive shaft.
the dealer i am talking to is an idiot.
and has no ideal what i am talking about.
thanks

The dealer is just looking in the wrong place on the fast picture. You have to follow the dots up and you will find it. (it is oriented the opposite way from the FSM)
Just let me know if you need the number for the oil seal.
