Hey guys, I just though I will let you all know I really enjoy this board, you guys rock!!.. I am learning a lot of information from you guys and I really appreicated.. thanks all..

For my question regarding, I have a 1990 240sx parts car sitting around.. I was doing some research on this board and try to find some info on parts intercharge between s12 and s13.. but I did not get a definetly answer since I don't think many people has done it.. so here is my question:

I have a 88 CA20E, I was wondering what suspension part is interchargable?? I want to switch the whole rear end and front end from the S13 to S12, is that a direct bolt on or does it require some mods?? I was thinking to do the following:

Front spindle and hub, inner tie rod and outer tie rod, front brakes, front strut, maybe front control arm??.. tension rod??, sway bar..

Rear spindle and hub, upper and lower control arm, end links?, sway bar, axles and diff, rear strut, and brakes

I also plan on doing a KA24E swap, is that a pretty direct bolt on beside the Powersteering?? also, would I need a KA driveshaft with the KA tranny and diff?? I haven't been into the S12 too long since most of my time is devoted to the S13, but now is winter, I need another project, so if you guys can help me out that be great.. thanks! Billy

The rear will not swap (ours is trailing arm IRS while 240's are multi-link) but there might be some interchangeable front end stuff. The transmission should be the same, and as long as the engine mounts up in the same place (ie the trans doesn't need to move fore or aft any) then you can retain the original driveshaft. Other than that the engine should go in.

well the trannies i dunno if they are the same or not, i know that the 1.8t and 240 have the same trannies.
no it will not interchange unless you are going to rip the back end of the 240 and are willing to do a shit ton of costum work. that way everything is possible.
240 is newer and multi link like it was said but if you willing to rip it out and put a lot of work into it you might be able to
