Im pretty sure everything pre '86 was a RB180 open diff, and the later year '86+ had the rb200 open diff, in either case the US versions never came with a LSD... thats not syaing you can toss one on.... I think MyMomsS12 is currently doing this...

Well my 85 turbo has a R200. but I think you are right about the LSD being a negative. Does anyone know what the Japanese or european S12 had? or perhaps a step by step guide to a I30 LSD swap?
hmm i could have sworn all us ca20e guys got R180
