does a 85 with drumbrakes in the back has the solid rear??

Well, in the U.S. only the 1984 CA20E cars had drums in the back, and they were also the only ones with a solid rear axle, so the two seem to go together. If the Norway cars didn't get the rear discs for 85 then they probably didn't get the IRS either.

Well you probly have a 84 not an 85....what is the build date???

I had a 84 car but my insurance company (ICBC) decided to make it an 85. So on my insurance papers and such...it was an 85.

i havent bought it yet. the seller says its a 85 but it could be a 84. the car will probably be built up as a drift car with ca18det from the s13`s we get here in europe icon_cool.gif but first i got to show it at the dmw (or whatever you guys call it). it got a ca20e with broken valves. i have a ca18et as a parts-motor for my bluebird sr turbo and i`ve hear the head is the same?

Jeg har en 84 mod s12 som jeg holder på å montere en ca18det i. Orginalt er det en fj20 motor i den.

Hvis du skal ha en ca18det i den må du ihvertfall få skiver bak på bilen, større skiver forran,større hoved bremsesylinder og sikkert masse annet også. Men vet ikke om det er mulig å få den godkjent med ca18det motoren i det hele tatt.

S12ene som kom til norge hadde ihvertfall fj20 med 145 hester og ca18et med 122 hester. Trodde ikke ca20 motoren kom til norge.
Vet ikke om v6 motoren heller kom til norge. Den er det ihvertfall nesten like mange hester i som i ca18det motoren så det burde gå an å få godkjent ca18det motoren i bilen.

Blir forresten ikke lett å få fatt i differensial brems til bilen hvis det er stiv aksling på den.Hvis du skal drifte..
