Debadging

I wanna debadge my 200sx. but I dont' know how to take off those stickers w/o messing up the paint. anybody got any information for me?

I'm replacing them with my own sticker designs..

this will go on the back hatch



and this one will replace the 200sx stickers on the rear windows(I need to know how to get these off too..)



I'm going to tint the windows eventually so I thought that black would be a bad idea heh.

I used a heating gun or aka hair dryer to take mine off. Basically u heat the sticker for oh 5 mins and peel it off. Done. No paint bubble or nuttin. Unless u had one of thoses cheap ass paint jobs... this might not be 4 u.

there r some others like WD40 or something but not so sure though.

now just make sure you actually have a rps12....which model has that designation

where are you getting these stickers done? and what does RP stand for? would you mind if someone (wont mention any names) wanted to take the same sticker's without the 'rp' part for their car? i... i mean this someone just wants one for the rear window.

I made these stickers in photoshop and my friend's dad said he can get em made into real stickers for me.

R = hatchback
P = CA20E engine
S12 = our chassis code

the turbo models are RS12 I think if it was a hatchback.

and nope nope, I don't mind at all. I made 8 in total. Feel free to take the ones you like or edit them or whatever you want. But I think you said you have a '86 CA20E rite? so if it's a hatch then your car is RPS12..if it's notch then I think it's just PS12....there's a plate in your engine compartment(very back near the windshield wipers) that will say what your car is. neways..these are the 8 I made.

Thanks a lot man, i realized that s12 was the chasis code icon_biggrin.gif lol. Anyhow ps12 is kinda not apealing... all the same heres what i edited yours too -






Anyhow i'm wondering where i can get some decals, done - i dont want white behind the sticker, or even clear, i want just the stuff thats written to stick like, know what i mean?

So RS12 is a turbo hatch, PS12 is a CA20E notch, RPS12 is a CA20E hatch...I wonder what a V6 S12 is....I'll have to look at the plate in my engine bay.

I know this is asking a lot, but do you think you could get your dad to do mine? lol. thinking about this now i feel like a mooch. but i would pay to have them mailed / production costs or whatever.

haha well it's my friend's dad..not mine so I don't wanna be a moocher.

and shipping..meh..I'm in bc so I can just slap a couple stickers on an envelope and mail em over to you.

Jason (Arro) was making labels, but hasn't finished yet. They are of the club banner (the thing you click as the first part of the front page). I think the V6 SE was like RVS12 or something along those lines.

yea, those stickers are pretty sweet. when i took the decals and stuff off of mine, i pulled them off with my finger nail, then rubbed the glue off with gasoline. just be sure to wash off the gas and not leave it on the paint.
