so my buddy with the teg i have talked in the past is building a civic 96'.. b18 bottom(well lets say it will be greater then 2.2L dispacment) first of its kind...with a b16 head with a 3 stage v-tec head..yes 3 stages(but v-tec kicks in twice)...the cams are the first of its kind.... so 0-4400rpms is first stage 4400-5600rpms is second and 5600-10200rpms is 3rd stage..t67 turbo...aem-ems... the list goes on and on...anyways it will make 600-700whp from the box on pump gas and well over 800-900whp on race gas without nos... this thing will be a screamer... i know i hate hondas but i only like the honds my buddy builds cause they are the fastest of their kind...

thought id give you guys a heads up cause i will be posting alot about it in the near future onced its finished in 2-3weeks.....

cool. im not a big fan of hondas either, but there are a lot out there that get my respect. my buddy has a 98 ex turbocharged on 9 psi. all stock motor at over 113K miles and he manages mid 14 second 1/4 miles, every other weekend at the track.

there are a couple cool cars at www.teamrice.org

look for the ae86 the s15 and brandons civic at the track.

Thats all cool..but it's FWD. Not that I have a huge problem with cars that are FWD as there are a few FWD cars I'd like to drive/own, but the halfshafts that are required in a FWD setup seem to be a huge weak link. I've seen a few turbo'd hondas at Mission Raceway with drag slicks on the front break half shafts. Are there some nice aftermark units that can handle that much power?

Other than that...sounds like a cool project. Make sure to include some pics/vids.

I like Honda's because my brother has one here is a link to his cardomain sitehttp://www.cardomain.com/id/clean_greendx . The only other way I would like them if they are JDM. My brother could beat me so I cant make fun of it :D.

Carbon Fiber Driveshafts, Baby. But even without them, The first thing to usually go is the Diff Housing in the Transaxle if the track's sticky.

Very nice! Only problem though, once you get some good halfshafts in, is traction. There's a guy around here with a setup somewhat similar to that (except the 3-stage VTEC, that is freakin killer!!!), with a B20 bottom end and B16 head, running a T3/T4 putting 567 to the wheels, but the car is a total dyno queen.

Car does nothing but spin if he trys to race it, awesome trap speeds, crappy et's.

I'd really like to see a little more of how that three stage VTEC is done though...

That looks clean, but im not a big a fan of the 96-98 ek front ends they look too round or something. But it looks good I like the 99-00 ek fronts better. I bet that its very fast tho.

he will more then likely run on slicks all the time

he will more then likely run on slicks all the timewith that much hp I think he will almost have to...I am trying to imagine that car in the snow...makes me laugh just to think about it...it would be everywhere!!!8)

Also is he planning to move the front license plate...loks like a bit of a IC hinderance...
