Well I finally reentered the real world and got TV and internet again, both cable. This cable broadband internet shit is fast as all hell, virtually no load time. There are some sick cars here now, almost passed out when I saw some guy's blue notch like mine all drift-spec'd out from down under. I feel so pathetic with my mostly stock notch covered in ice outside.

A few months ago I picked up a hatch finally. It was in the paper for $500, and it was listed as an 87. Being I own a house and still have the shitty retail job I didn't really have the money but I called anyhow, being it was the same year as the notch I've had for over a year (a personal record for any of my cars). Turns out it was damn near identical, down to the same colors, except it was a hatch, and that was what I had been looking for. The notch was rust-free due to some undercoating process when it was new so I went with that at the time, but this car was from ARIZONA!!!!! The guy moved up here and parked it a few years ago!!! The paint was faded decent, but the thing has never seen a winter, and for those of you in up here and above, that is like damn rare!!

Best part about it all, besides being a notch and straight body, is the thing is stripped. No options, manual everything, and a worn- and sun baked-interior ready for me to strip it out!! Here I come, rattle can flat black spray can in hand, ready to f*k up the finish!!! AHAHAHAHA!!! Oh, and I'll be tearing out the engine and trans to do a rebuild (and some significant mods) as well as a full suspension and brake swapout, but I expect that to take a few years to finish (dead set on building a garage in the backyard first to do it all in, and getting a second job to fund it!).

Oh yea, and what the hell is it with the 'Death to the Lumina' thing I keep seeing?

i thought that was just his '87 turbo parts car that he bought that was hit by a deer (unless there is a new post i havnt read yet either)?

anyways.. w/ my VG,.. i put new gaskets on from the head gaskets up,.. i also put on a custom exhaust, ka throttle body, cone filter, dual electric fans, clear corner lights, and a bunch of other random stuff..

right now i'm in the process of putting a new engine in the SE.. it will be a VG30DE if this one guy will get back to me about sell me his.. otherwise i'm going to be looking for another VG30E/VG33E block to put a VG33ET into my car

Yea, dude your car is awesome in the best of ways. I have to say I dig the 16's though, as opposed to the 17s, but either way looks damn good.

Henge, what was your name again man? You're the one thats got two cars, right, and knows Chris? Hell, too much changes. But I like your plan for the SE, sounds like it will be serious badassness.

AND EARNEST!!!! YOU HAVE REJOINED US, YES! It is good, still have your SE as well?

So Joe, you live in Oak Creek WI? Not bad, you have probably heard of Farm and Fleet, I work in the one at Woodstock. Its not too far, I didn't know that was near Milwaukee at all! Have to break out the map. Eventually we should get together, as I have never seen a fully sorted out CA18ET car before, and there are other people in the area that would probably be interested. I'm thinking a meet at a dragstrip sometime, not necessary to race (I want to make some baseline passes myself) but to more or less get together. Anyone up for springtime?

I'd be willing to make the trek to the Grove with ya...............seeing as my new schedule will be more conducive to the weekend get together type stuff.
