In line with upping the power, I am a firm believer in upping braking power.

So, what set-ups are other people using?

Std Discs w/uprated pads
Uprated discs & pads?
The S14 4-pots & black diamonds are looking favourable at the moment.

So, what are you using, what did it cost and how do you rate them?

Amen to that!

I have S13 SR20DET Single pot brakes.
Discs are DBA Slotted S13 SR20 Items

Brake pads front are Racebrakes RB74 - Very hard on rotors but WORTH IT!
Rear pads are S13 comp2 pads - OMG can ne1 say EASY HANDBRAKE????!!!!!

RB74 front Pads cost - $148 for complete front set
Comp2 rear pads- $145 for complete rear set
DBA Slotted front rotors - $390 for two rotors
Machined rear rotors - $40

DBA Rotors (http://www.dba.com.au/default.asp)
Race brakes (http://www.racebrakes.com.au/html/pads.html)

Well, the only other decent car I have owned was a series 4 RX7 which had 4pot front brakes and 1pot rears.
MY S12 NOW CRAPS ALL OVER THE RX7 IN BRAKING!!!
With my aim of getting 220rwhp i would need something decent to stop the car, and now i do. It stop from 100km/h (60mp/h) in under 6 secs!! (i will get exact figure later)

Heh i scared the crap out of my brothers mates showing them how good the car can brake lol 8-)

I have Z32 4 pots with redrilled s15 rotors, on Skyline R31 turbo import struts and hubs that take the slip on type rotor, (except for redrilling the rotrs to 4 stud everything else with this strut and hub combination is a straight bolt up). But you can use Z31 300zx struts with the behind the hub type bolt on rotors instead ,the calipers bolt straight up but you would need to change the spring perch, (or change the top of them to a coilover setup) to the s12 ones, as the Z31 springs are a little to wide for the s12 strut tower and will jam on full lock,( for UK people there is a reply to a thread on sxoc forum somewhere ratdat shows pics of some he has madeup) then you need steel spacers behind your pads as the Z31 rotors are only 22mm thick as opposed to 30mm thick for the z32 300zx, s14 etc.

On the rear I have Z31 rotors and calipers. Calipers are the same as s12 except the mounting holes are 1.5cm further back as the rotors are 290mm, where the s12 rotors are only 260mm, (non FJ 4 cylinder, can`t say for V6 s12`s as we didn`t get them here). So the extra stopping power is in the bigger rotor diameter.

front:
brembo cross/drilled rotor for s12
toyota 4x4 4piston calipers

rear
brembo cross/drilled rotor for 82-83 200sx
z31 rear calipers

On the rear I have Z31 rotors and calipers.
I came to that problem too so I had to get 82-83 200sx to solve this. How did u mount ur z31 rotors? What year and model? I tried doing the turbo z31 version and didn't work. Could post a pic of ur rear rotors too pls?

my rears are 910 Bluebird TRX S3 . i'm ordering a pair of slotted DBA discs and race pads for them soon.

and my fronts will be R32/R33 GTSt 4pots and re-drilled R32/R33 GTSt discs on S13 hubs with modified stone gaurds.

i'll also be fitting a GTSt master cylinder too.

later on i plan to get braided lines.

I'm currently running twin pot calipers on 274x22mm vented rotors up front with stock nissan pads, rear is stock S12 discs with Project MU D1 spec. Sitting on my shelf here is S14 4 pot calipers, 280x30 vented rotors and pagid pads. Just waiting to get some rims to clear them so i can fit the things.

Heh seems like 4 piston calipers are the new rice. Looks all pretty behind rims
