*There are alot of pics, the ones at the bottom of the page are much better so be patient and wait for them to load*
Myself and FLY PSI made our way to sunny Eastern Creek Raceway for a drift practice day last saturday. Also there apart from the many S13, S14 and S15s were a pair of 910 Bluebirds (one L20 and the other SR20DET powered), AE71 Corolla, AE86, JZX 90 Chaser, MX80 Cressida, VP HSV Commodore (5L V8 ), VL Commodore (N/A RB30E) and another S12 which was completely stock apart from extractors.
There will be many better pics i can get hold of later as well as some vids but for now this is all i have at hand.
Pictured is me in the blue gold and black car and FLY PSI in the two tone blue/dark blue car. FLY PSI ran a locker at this meet and had MUCH more success than last time with the single spinner, looked pretty good out there :)
I also did much better than previous meets and had only one small trouble this time (handbrake cable to one rear caliper) and had alot of track time, i actually ran out of tyres just before the end of the day.
Things i have learnt from this day were:
(A) Good tyres are fantastic, the 4 laps i managed to get out of my almost worn out Yokohama Advan A405s were very fast, the Kelly Chargers i used afterwards were slippery and slow by comparison but it was still stacks of fun :)
(B) Cooling is an A+++ requirement, both me (stock S13 rad etc) and FLY PSI (greddy rad cap and different thermostat) struggled with heat. 4 laps was about as far as we'd want to push the stock S13 cooling system at relatively low speeds. We both need much bigger/better rads soon.
Anyways here are some vid caps my mate did and sent to me. He'll get me the full vid next weekend and we'll get a decent compilation together for you :)

S12s Drifting on 20th October 2004 (pics)
This thread was saved without dates. "Around Apr 2005" is estimated from neighbouring threads.
I like the one of your wheel in the air. :lick:
That's what comes of taking a bad line and hitting the dip in the concrete you can see in the photo below that of FLY PSI with his hand out the window. Hit dip car bounces into air and understeer, not the coolest way around a corner :P
Nice work!!
These pics get me really itching to drift!@#$$!
Shame i need rego :lame:
If Fats had another one of his drift days you must come with me!!
Awesome pics guys, I can't wait to see the videos........Are they ready now???..............................what about now??? *lol*
Are u using an open diff, LSD,s or a wleded ones?
Are u using an open diff, LSD,s or a wleded ones?
To the best that I know so far, Neb is using a LSD, and FlyPsi is using a welded unit...8)
I have a R200 4 pinion LSD, FLY PSI is running a locked H190.
*Added a few more pics now*
Okies as an update i have more pics now :D:D
Simex44 (sorry i don't know your name or if you are a club s12er) took his dead stock CA20E open diff S12 out for a fang and had a good go at it :)
Not many more photos of FLY PSI posted unfortunetly, but i'm sure more will come up soon :)

That just looks like so much fun. Wish we had a venue like that in my area. Oh well. Hey Neb, what is that you have hanging from your rear tow hook?
It was da bomb, it's sylvester the cat :D, i'll keep updating the page as i get hold of more pics :D
Dude that last pic shows your ass drooping very very low.. looks like your 1-2mm or so away from sparks! hehehe
NOW THATS AN S12 SIDEWAYS
http://www.initialdrift.com.au/_albums/events_20041030/IMGP2788_Large.jpg
RES.....PCTE!?
Who was the owner of the red s12? Non lsd?
The red S12 is dead stock apart from extractors. Stock suspension and open diff. It's driven by a bloke called Mark (simex44 on initialdrift) who's tossing up between upgrading or just working on the S12. He bought one of my old S12s once (a white coupe) which he's using for parts.
Coupes are sooo sexy. :lick:
Ohh....ouch...cool...DAM!...that's gonna leave a mark... AWESOME!
Soon I will be experiencing the same thing.
the red one kinda looks like mine.... but better haha
What a way to represent the old school!!!!
Hehe not bad ay, there are a few older nissans and toyotas there, you can see the SR20DET powered 910 bluebird behind ash's car in one shot and ther was another 910 TRX at the day to, not to mention a AE71 corolla and the usual AE86s.
You guys rock, looks like you had alot of fun out there,
Video is going slow due to me waiting for a DVD copy of the footage. It was taken on a digicam so it looks sweet as but i only have a VHS copy in hand :(. I might make a VHS version for now as a teaser or somthing hehe. On the VHS you can't see little things like the occasional chunk of flying rubber and such hehe.
