hmmm... I was thinking of making a live action spoof of initial D. But It would cost too much for me. i had almost the first three episodes thought out.

haha my thoughts exactly. so at first i was like "oh gawd, what are they doing.." but now after seeing the short snippets i'm like "omg, do it and show me already"

haha yeah. i was wondering about that too. is there a particular reason why? was initial d bigger there than in japan? i remember back when i used to use kazaa, i'd download episodes and get some that were dubbed in chinese...

I thought the samething too. So it's a chinese movie filmed in Japan... with Japanese cars but with Chinese Actors ... umm... Music Artists. But for a while I knew Jay Chou was going to be Takumi but still in my head I was thinking "isn't this a Japanese Series!?"

i have never seen initial d. I have a couple of friends who have the series but I have never gotten around to watching them. i heard they are really good

OMFG.....thats all i have to say! They better bring out a dubbed version or a subtitled version...Takumi's friend better be as hararious as he was in the anime LOL.

I have it even when it first came out raw. Also I have the current 4th stage which is pretty tite. Yeah I was kinda questioning that why is it chinese characters and not japanese? Japanese setting, car, lifestyle but chinese. Hmm... well I'm gonna get. When is it out?

Hmm, not that I can back it up in this case ...
But China has very very loose copyright laws. They might be trying to avoid legal issues.
Or it is entirely possible Japan has no interest in an Initial D movie. The series is super played out, and has been around for 10 years.
