Ok so I got to playing my copy of NFS:Underground and I made my fav. car like always, A 240sx.

I got to thinking about headlights and tailights. The tucked in headlights the 240 has look great if done right. As for the tailights I had the strange notion of replacing my old stock light's for that of Skyline, but skyline tailights from the r34 are like 500 or so on ebay. So I decided to get ahold of the aftermarket tailight from the 1998 Mitsu Eclipse. I know it goes against some rules but the design for it is great to make a molding out of fiberglass and bondo and some sheet metal.

Well once I get the basis done I will make a how to guide. For now I gotta wait till the weekend so I can go to a junkyard and pic parts from the dead S-12s and 240s

Which 240?

I'm assuming you mean S14 right?

Man, that'd be a tough conversion. I figured maybe he was talking about the S13 Silvia headlights, I think those would look awesome in an S12. I can't picture Eclipse taillights though...

A photoshop version would be nice to start...if done correctly I think it could look good though

I just have a hard time envisioning how you could get the angled lights to fit in the square area that an S12 has without major major surgery...

here's a tip....

The tailights for a 88 s12 are NOT the same size as a 84! so the tailight housing is just a simple frame now that holds up (barely) my tailights, plates and trunk latch.

I'm the guy who made a convertible SUV... well it didn't work like you think... that 87 Ram Charger was never the same...

Sort of, if you swap over everything (complete rear light assemblies, and license plate holders, then yes they are interchangeable...

My belief: Keep car conversions (wheather it be engines or tail lights or emblems) NEED to stay within the same car maker... I.E. Nissan to Nissan. I am against this because all the RICERS I see with light conversions subtract from what the car is supposed to look like. Now clear and "Euro" lenses are cool but when you put 350Z headlights on a Celica with some Subaru tails or something is just gay. It just advertises that you want those other cars, and not the one you have.

Okay my rant is done for now. Do what you want, I'll still think it looks gay;)

I know what you are talking about...like all the Eclipses with MKIV Supra tails, and every ricer and his uncle with MKIV Supra wings. I have been to some Supra meets, and twice they have become so pissed off with some of the ricers that they have almost torn the Supra wings off of riced out cars. They really don't think much of people using Supra parts of cars other than Supras.

Now as far as the 350Z headlights on a Celica, with Subaru tails are you talking about the one featured on Nopi tuner vision about a week ago? For those of you who didn't see the episode this guy had over 90,000 US in it, isn't finished yet, as no plans to do any engine modifications, and has done no engine modifications...
