I was wondering if there any paintball players among us, I mean with their own gear and who play fairly regularly? I have a stock class Phantom pump with a $8 rifle scope, a horrible brass eagle mask from Dick's, and a used camo shirt and old pants. Anyone else?
Any paintball players?

I had a '02 Dye Matrix LCD w/ 16" boomstick, HALO loader, 4500psi maxflo w/ CF tank.. did some local playing plus a tournament.. but guess what. Yup. my %"#¤% car demanded the money, so had to sell it :(
winter is coming anyways, so no playing for me! might get myself a crappy spyder next summer though.
Cool, my friend's got an Xtra with a J/j barrel, an e-frame, and a massive dropforeward. broke like hell before the new frame though :-? ...
the elframe only changes the trigger mechanism.. cant see why it shouldnt break after that swap?
stuff it with a nice valve (maddman rocketvalve is good!), get a springset and maybe slap on a regulator..
I've also owned an e-99 spyder with the above mods ;)
yah, i know that's wierd, maybe it's just coincidence? He's decent, but he can shoot 10-11bps on semi :yikes: , and his hopper'll feed about that much. I can maybe go 2-3bps with my pump  !
Owning your own marker in oz is very rare due to the legalities and the fact that semis were actually illegal until earlier this year (the fields owned semis through a loophole but actually aquireing new markers was a bitch) as a result i have an ACI Hornet pump with a 16" ported barrel and bottom line and got a JT crossfire mask. Apparently me and my 8 or so mates are the only non tournament players in the state with our own gear. We get our ammo through a very nice bloke we know who owns 3 fields. We used to play every second weekend but it got less and less regular. My mate organised a campaign that we ran two weeks ago though, played 30 vs 30 on a 15ha field with rivers and tracks and thrick scrub. Had to capture points and every hour the points held were counted and at the end of the weekend tallied up. We used radios and maps to communicate and get around and each team had indipendant leadership and stuff. The stuff dreams are made of :D After a rather exhausting 12 or 13 hours play my team won by 100 points or so w00t.
I borrowed a Tippman Model 68 for that game but i'd like to get a decent semi of my own for regular play, nothing flash just somthing solid and reliable.
can you recieve one from the states, or is that equally hard? Glad to see another pump! Where'd you get your barrel ported?
Tippman 98 custom, only mod is a flatline barrel.
Almost all the markers are imports from the states anyways, we can get semis now anyways tho w00t. I forget the brand of the barrel, i think it's an ACI part as well wasn't very expensive and a massive improvement over the 12" tube they call a barrel that comes with the hornet.
