Hey dudes I finnaly got my new clutch in since my other one self destructed (No mom I don't know why it happened... ) Well I got a new exeddy clutch for my car and it was put in yesterday. And for all of you still useing a stock clutch you have no idea what your missing. This thing grips like a motha and I don't even need to pop it to get my tires going hell I only need 75% throtle and the clutch 90% engaged to roast them. Hell I was pulling out of the repair shop parking lot (still getting used to my new pedel feel) and roasted them just accelerating to 45 mph. Put a smile on my face for the rest of the day.
When they showed my old clutch I was amazed. There was NO friction materal left at ALL! it was just bare metal. But the new one is so much nicer than my old one. So if your car has alot of miles on it I recomend getting a new aftermarket clutch for it its like night and day. Especially if your useing the car to drift.

Yeah, Nissan's seem to not really need any clutch to work. When we pulled the one out of my buddies S13 it fell apart. Literally it was down to the rivets. When we tried to remove it, it just crumbled.
This car was up until then being driven HARD, toe heeled ... there's no way it should have been as smooth as it was. Didn't slip, didn't grind ... it started to chatter a bit, which was when we pulled it.
Can't wait to put mine in :D
yeah the only reason i replaced the clutch on my old 86 was because of the chattering. it would make the whole car jump but the clutch still held
Yeah Mine was fine until the day it fried i mean It started chattering the previous day and before that it was fine i had been driving it hard for 1K miles or so and it had 204000 miles on it so im really surprised it lasted this long. But it was bare metal. It had nothing left on the clutch disc.
Yeah I noticed a huge difference with gripping power with my dual friction CF.
You know your suppose to break-in your new clutch for about 500 miles. If you didn't you just shortened the life of it
Yeah i know im sapoosed to break it in but i haven't been popping it though. Just giving it gas. im not shifting real hard either so it should be alright but its real hard to resist doing it.

lol i know what you mean, for me while i was breaking in the clutch i had about 20 ricers that tended to pull up next to me and wanna rce whereas all the time before i got the clutch i was lucky to have maybe 2 a week wanna race me... man it was so hard not letting myself giving hell to the ricers
