whats this thing worth ?

hey , i have an 85 200 sx , i dunno what versions there are , but it's a hatch back , rwd , non turbo 4 cyl . it has one dent under the front bumper on the right side that i could probably pop out ( but havent bothered to ) and minimal rust ( just under the tail light , and surface rust on the kick pannel under the door , the size of a quarter ) the a/c works ( sometimes too well ), the interior is in 99% perfect shape , has power windows , a working radio and tape deck , auto tranny , 4 wheel disk , voice warnings , tilt steering , power mirrors , and 144k miles , starts right up , goes whereever you want to go . it's blue , paint is in good shape ( has some 80's custom pin striping on it tho , but it's professional stuff , not track auto stickers ) good tires , everything works .

whats this thing worth ?
i really like it , it's reliable as hell , but i need more cargo room , like a truck or a van . can't really fit a motorcycle into the back of this thing . i'll try to check back on here , or if you know what it's worth ( without telling me to go to kelly blue book ....i want to sell this to someone that would enjoy it ) please e-mail me at [email removed]

on a side note there is no bondo in it , that was the name of my 70 gto i had in highschool

depending on how well it runs and the body condition..anywhere from $400CDN - $1500CDN...thats for a completely stock one.

it runs pretty well , theres a small crack in the rubber hose on one of the injectors , i don't know much about fuel injection (i'm an american car , carb guy) . i know maybe once a month i'll be sitting at a long stop light and the engine will stutter alittle bit and it goes right away once i hit the gas , but it's never stalled or anything , could that hose cause that ? other than that it runs great , drives great , steers great , stops great . it passed va inspection and emissions just a few months ago . all tires are good . the muffler was rusted out when i got it so i replaced it with a generic track auto one ( not the best looking i'll admit but it gets the job done ) .the driver door has a small part of ....vinyl i guess cracked away where you put your arm , and someone put AAA stickers over it , i didn't notice till i started pulling the stickers off . only other things i can think of that isn't in perfect shape is it's missing one of the flaps that covers the trunk when the hatch is closed ( the flap that touches the back seat ) the other one is still there . and the driver side power window switch won't make the window go down unless you put your finger in front of it and push backwards as you push down , i don't even notice it anymore , i guess the tab in there is bent slightly back or something . i'll see if i can get some pics . i wasn't planing on selling it for more than $1000 , but not too much less , it's really in pretty good shape . if i had to drive to california tonight i'm sure it would make it ,i just like to get all the bad stuff out in the open , i'm pretty up front when it comes to selling cars , and it's not like you wouldn't see this stuff if you showed up to see the car

Well, unfortunately what you have there is not too desireable. Even in the S12 world. But nonetheless, it is an uncommon car. Its not like the cookie- cutter shit made today, these cars would have more value if more people knew about them.

yeah , it is a fun little car to drive tho , truthfully untill i got this one i always mistook them for the old supras or celicas , or whatever . i love how they handle . and judging from the features this thing has compaired to most cars from 85 this thing must have been a decently desirable car in 85 .

Well what to say...I got my 87 Auto for $1000 with tax, and I got my 85 manual for roughly $100 (figuring in 50 for the new batt)...Both of them have under 200,000 km's on them...and both run very well, my 87 is my daily driver...8)

oops up there i said it had 144k , it's actually more like 127k
