By any chance, does anyone have a pic of an s12 with 14" rims on? Or has an s12 with 14" rims on and can take a pic of it and post it?
I am really looking forward to buying these rims but they were only made in 14x7. any help will be great.
Tony.

14" Rims on an s12
This thread was saved without dates. "Around Sep 2004" is estimated from neighbouring threads.
why 14 you will have to have a big sidewall to get the same overall tire height...
yeah each to their own with rim sizes, anyways i sometimes use 14x6.5s on the back for drifting, they look like this. The tyre profile is too low in this case but this is what they look like.

but with a 14" rim, the weight is reduced a lot.
..if they're 14's...they better be 10" wide...thats all im sayin...
I might get a set of 13's to mount some slicks on if I can get em to fit over the rear disc brakes... I think the 14's might look kinda smallish on an S12, unless you run a big sidewall, which leads us back to Bart's point...

not if he's drifting...
then STEELIES are the way to go :D
The wheels on Krazy Skwerel's S12 are the optional factory 14" alloy wheels.....

Can you believe these were actually an option for '84 XE models? The tire size is 185/70/SR14. If you have ever seen these on a S12.....they look pretty damn terrible (no offense Krazy Skwerel) and look worse on the hatch backs....and they are only 5 1/2 wide which doesn't help and gives the car some HUGE fender gap.
Only S12 wheel that looks worse is the 14" steel wheel with star hubcaps that came standard on all '84's except turbo model.
geeze...I'm so glad I never got an '84...ahhaha
Yah steelies suck except for drifting
I dunno, I've got some 15" steelies with the center cap and trim rings removed, and painted black, it looks pretty bad to me... :evillaug: But then again I'm from NASCAR world, so I would like it...
..i prefer it when someone has a Bent steel rim..super easy to fix (SLEDGE HAMMER, no joke!) when its aluminum..they're skrewed!!

Im getting these....^^

Offset: -9mm
Lug Pattern: 4x114.3
Weight: 13.3lbs
Color: Silver
Price: $325.00 plus shipping
hm if your car was lowered i think those would look good, but personally i think deep dish 14" with a lowered car would look best.
the Konig Rewinds, huh? where did you find them at? only like two or three sites still have them available and for how much?
What size tire would you use with a 14" rim to stay close within the overall stock rolling dia? If you use a low profile tire you'll hit redline in 5th at a pretty low speed....plus say good bye to already crappy mpg, and hello to really shitty mpg!
If you use a tire using the "minus size" method to keep your rolling dia colse to stock you'll end up with some pretty bubbly looking tires.
I guess if your gonna use 14s and low profile tires for track purposes that would work....but I wouldn't do it for everyday driving.
BTW.......those Konigs look pretty sweet!!

195/70R14's are very close to the 195/60R15's that came on mine... I am using those 195's as my full size spares...8) As far as diameter difference the 195/70R14's are about 3/4-1'' bigger than the 195/60R15's...
-9mm offset ... better be getting fender flares too
that's almost 40mm different than the stockers
I was looking at "BRE Datsun 510" wheels i can get 2 sets for free, unfortunatly they are 13 Inch and doubt they will fit the discs. Also there would be some crazy fender gap.
To bad they have an awesome old school/drift look.
-9mm offset?? 9mm inset?
-9mm offset?? 9mm inset?
wut?
those will be sticking out the wheel wells.
..what i meant was, is a -9mm offset the same as a 9mm inset??
Yep ...
either way you say it, that offset is 9mm towards the inside of the rim
9mm is about 1/2 inch. Add to that our cars use a standard FWD offset of about 30mm.
So the center of the rim will be a full 40mm away from where it should be.
Depending on how wide the tires are, these rims will be jutting out a full 2 inches past the fender.

so 13's won't clear the s12 disks? I can get a set of awesome black mesh 13's with a super deep dish and killer offset for next to nothing, but I want to know if they'll clear the disk brakes? Anyone have any ideas :)
Sean
I highly doubt 13's will fit.
sheesh all of u are lucky to even fit 14's, smallest I can go with the Z31 set up is 15's!
13" wont go, ive tried and it touches the brake caliper...
fawk. guess i'll go 14 then...
Thanks!
