He was in the inner lane.
I dropped it at 2grand ish, and i pulled in 1st about a car length then into 2nd about half a car and then into 3rd doin 120ish when i was bout 3 to 3/5 car lengths ahead so slowd down to the speed limit! LOL

hahahahahahaha.........breathe........hahahahahahahahah stupid swift driver!!! 8)
Actually that sporty Swift model from the late-80s or early 90s, with the 16 valve motor was decently quick.
In 3rd going 120? Hmmmmmm.....
LOL He's from Down Under. That's 120 kilometers/hour.
 OK, sorry I'm a stupid American...
heh ... yeah, I knew a couple guys in HS that tuned up a turbo firefly and a swift. They were actually quite competitive in AutoX.
But yeah ... up against anything above John Deere in a "controlled acceleration trial"
The swift ... she be not.
gotta love those typical ricer fly-bys
lol
I've raced a swift GTi,
He played with me the entire way.....i had no chance.

yea this wasnt a GTi,
and yes man, i was doin 120mph in 2nd! LOL... its hard when i read things and it seems like they dont have a clue but then remember CLUB-S12 is world wide!
my GF drives a swift with an engine conversion, it its faster than my S12, so it wasnt her!
you were racing a SOHC 1.0L GA swift, as a GTi woulda kaned you!
Gti has 100HP in 800kg car, we have 105HP in 1050kg..... so who you rekon is faster!
DONT UNDERESTIMATE A SWIFT! Some of them are packing boost! and some have insanely tuned NA engines. You have been warned!
heh oooo im scared  :p
When my gaz was a ca20 still, i raced i turbo excel. I kept up with him the whole way heh  So dont underestimate a nice CA20 :p
Some of us have sr20det's with the go fast good bits added, dynoed to 340-350hp,(190rwkw's) on a safe 14psi, don't think a converted swift would be a worry. (Especially not for the hituned FJ20et guys)
i was speakin stock GTI (G13B) v's Stock S12 (ca20e).
not S12's with late model turbo engine conversions.
cleared up now?
I know I'm just ribbing you. I've never driven a ca20 gazelle. I bought mine without an engine purely for the sr engine I had lying around when I sold all my car stuff after I got back from nippon. I was going to do a 1600, but I thought it would be to much mucking around and not enough luxury modcons for an old bloke!
i own both :D
my SOHC carbed swift USED to be about the same as my stock auto s12. hanlding on the other hand was a different story.
AUTO!
Thats why. LOL
it wasnt the 1.0L carb, it was the SOHC 1.3L EFI, Manuel.
but meh, i dont care.
CA20E's are not my sort of engine.. im liking my car less n less because of my engine.... :(
It takes ages to rev, even now when i have put me POD on, it doesnt have low down torque to drive normally.. etc./
but nissanman you live in the s13 capital of aus surely you can get a ca18det cheap...If you talk to some places with halfcuts and tell them you dont want the panels etc you can get them down cheap, i have sourced one for $1000 (down from $1700) now i need the cash :(
::edit:: 200 posts woot woot

Yea i know,
BUT I CANT DO IT LEGALLY, i have already found out about that,,,
Once is get moneys i will prolly sell the S12 or keep it for a TRACK car and get a S13 SR20DE Manuel. At that moment Turbo's are to expensive for insurance for me....
thats why im glad my s12 aint standard. beat the swift gti's easy....
im on par with the 206gti180's and only just have the edge above 130mph on em. now there quick hot hatches
have you's need the VW that runs an audi 5 cylinder turbo? packs like 650kw at the wheels, 48psi boost, twin intercoolers........the thing is NUTS!
i rekon thats a hot hatch! infact i'd almost sell myself for a ride behind the wheel!
that was in Zoom yeah??
built by DallanBaak (sp?)

DONT UNDERESTIMATE A SWIFT! Some of them are packing boost! and some have insanely tuned NA engines. You have been warned! Suzuki switched to a 1.3 liter SOHC inline-4 in 1989 (at least here in North America) ...
I had the 1 liter I3 in my 1988 Suzuki Forsa and it was certainly more powerful than my GF's 1 liter in her 1990 Chevy Sprint (same engine)... Neat fact I learned after find this to be weird is that the GM cars had detuned versions of the engine (especially the Metro) to cut costs (increase profit) ...
Those turbo Swifts/Fireflys/Sprints and the Swift GTis are suprisingly quick, especially modded ... A friend of mine had a turboed Swift GTi running 12s ...
some swifts are actually pretty quick light weight cars. 1989 was the swift GTI, 1.3L DOHC 4 cyl. 103 horespower but the car only weighted i think 1700 lbs. the swift GTI did the 1/4 mile in 16.3 seconds. The 1990 swifts became GTs with nothing major changed, nonetheless, nice kill dude
