ok i know this is not general tech but how do u hook up a ammeter on our cars i got thew wrong guage but ammeter wil do but i dont knwo how to hook it up

Usually there are two different kinds of am meters, one is inductive, and the other is your regular kind. Now with a regular one you have to put the meter in serios with the ground going in you battery, or the positive main line from your fuse panel. With the inductive kind, I think it only works on an AC signal so I don't think it would work very well (most likely not at all) with a DC signal...

Ok, I just learned that the DC inductive meters do exist, but I still don't know how much, or if they are made in a guage format...does anybody know??
