Black, White or Chrome

I found out I can get a hell of a deal on some Icon wheels (17x8 5 spoke) and I wanted some opinions as to the color. I have the options of black, white or chrome, my car is all black with dark black tinted windows and the factory side skirts. Thanks. Oh yeah it will be lowered about 3 inches when I'm done.

black may be too much...and white may be too weird looking(white with black rims looks good..but black with white looks odd), and chrome would be too heavy...so iono......

does the rim have a polished lip?

if so..then go with black...if not then I dunno.

My vote goes with chrome....looks very nice on a black car.

Chrome can be heavy but are these forged wheels? If so, then they shouldn't be so bad.

Drop this money into some performance....And dont give me that my engine sux shit cause whatever you pay for the wheels can go towards a quite a few motorset options......Think before you spend.....Dont know what engine he has but its obviously not important.....

What do the rims look like?
Nothing wrong with shiney things, i like shiney things. Chrome wheels i usually hate because of the patterns they come in and their excessive weight. If the choice is only by colour whats wrong with chrome?

Get whatever, and you have the option to paint them always. Usually the chrome wheels are more expensive (even if it is the same type).

Seeing as I still don't know how to put pics in here they look like the rims on that mustang in the previous post but with a smaller center and psitive offset, Luckily all the colors are the same price (130 a piece Canadian) so cost isn't a factor. I think chrome wheels CAN look stupid on sports cars if you pick the wrong style but they always look stupid on big shit like escalades, excursions and other losermobiles. Nothing makes me wanna puke on my shoes faster that seeing some wannabe gangster with 22 inch rims on his avalanche thinking he's hot shit. People like this really need food poisoning. Anyways thank for the opinions everyone I think I'll try some photoshop work to see what they acually look like on my car (maybe I'll put them here) and try that. Thanks again.

All I have to say is black on black looks good but you can't see all those nice details on you wheel unless you are standing three feet from the wheel. I totally agree with Indy one the whites, just too odd. Chrome is good too but then you'll have to clean those wheels once a week so they look good. You could get the whites and then paint them gray, bronze or gold.

I think it's hard to pull off black on black unless the rims have a polished or chrome lip, then it looks AWESOME. I think I agree that the white might look a little wierd, and there's not a thing wrong with chrome. But overall you need to pick what you like, and not give a crap about what anybody else thinks as long as you're happy with it! :lol:

If you want to check out the rims I'me buying go to www.fastco.ca and check the rims section for the F39 GROOVE rims. Thats the ones, they will be the 17x8s.

Nice! I like em, I still think it'd look the best black with a chrome or polished lip. Might cost a little extra to get em done that way, but IMHO, it'd be worth it...
