This wasn't a drag race. It was a up and downhill battle with my friend. His car is far from stock Evo 7 motor, safc hks cam gears lowered tokicoshocks & more. All I can say is useless boost. No room to go fast, its all in the corners. Its a damn weard road oneway no real reason it should be there. If anyone is in the Seattle area they should check it out for shure. Its f*ckn NUTS. I've had lots of close calls with gardrails here. I've gone into one ditch here after about 18 runs last corner got me. 70mph breaking drift. This is the place to go to test your suspention and breaks to its limits. After 1 runs Your breaks will be smokin rotors will be titanium blue & purple.

vg30 s12 vs. Eclipce Gsx

where is this road?
His car is far from stock Evo 7 motor
Wow, did he hack the whole subframe out of the car and weld up a new tubular steel front end? Because that's basically what's required to install the new style 4G63. All Talons/Eclipses have the old style layout, where the engine is located on the driver's side of the engine bay and the tranny is on the passenger side. The Evo1-3 used this setup as well. The Evo 4 and up changed so the engine is on the passenger side and tranny is on the driver's side. If he told you he has an Evo 7 engine in his car, he's either an idiot or just lying.
So, the subject says VG30 S12 vs. Eclipse GSX......... Who was faster?
the gsx is faster by far but this road course is just switchback after switchback. He couldn't keep up.
just called my friend to confirm which engine he has in his eclipse, he said he had a 4g63 evo 4 motor
where is this road?
Off highway 167 Angola Pacific Southwest of the Supermall
so what makes the evo4 motor different than a plain jane 4g63

it was featured in initial d?

It's facing the opposite way. lol. The Evo 4 motor was a huge redesign on Mitsubishi's part. Different pistons, anti-lag turbo, stronger transmission. They were getting serious about winning the WRC back then.
But unfortunately, the best your friend could possibly have is an Evo 3 engine. In which case, there's absolutely nothing different from a regular 4G63. The only changes were a Big16G turbo stock and 510cc injectors.

its JDM and guess he couldn`t find some one inhis area to build a 4g63. JDM mitsu motors are a waste of time. you can do more with just a junkyard motor with a good build and a super16g and a set of 550`s and your in the 12`s. But enough of my DSM ramblings.
I can certainly vouch for the joys of the VG30E on twisty roads.

A turbo without lag...I'll take one please...:)
Also I guess it is possible to get an EVO 4 motor, but he would need a whole lotta luck and some serious pull with some ralliers...8)

Even if he did track one down, what car would he mount it in? A Mitsubishi Mirage? Because it's definitely not going into an Eclipse.
