Norcal Meet

Just wanted to know who's up for one? I wanted in August evverything would be out of my way so if you want one, I'll host it.

Hmmm... I'm down for this... but then I really dont have any new mods on my car at the moment... I hope by the time this comes around I'll have something good in my S12.

Any updates on this as to when and where in August? It's only a couple of weeks til August.

Most likely for me the 10th or the 11th.

Just note when you guys will be free for this NorCal meet.

I'm free anytime throughout the month.....weekends or weekdays.

So the second meet should be on the 2nd week on 10th. Now it's the location and time. I'll have ta contact Gary to where the address was last time. That was fun. So I guess it me, myth, and keith that r coming huh? Well we'll still have fun and I'll share some of my "secrets" to thoses who come.

I can't stay in town that long. I have to head back to Chicago no later than Monday. I'm in San Jose now and will be here until Monday for sure.

If we could get together sometime on Sunday that would be great, but I understand if that's not possible.

Hey............I've been doing some thinking. If we meet in SF it might be easier to meet above the GG bridge than in Japan Town. It might be easier to find each other that way......everytime I've been to Japan Town the parking is such a pain in the ass.....and finding 3-4 spots next to each other anywhere down there might be kinda tough...where as up above the bridge accross from the city in Marin during the week, there is never any cars up there at all.
We could meet up there...take some photos and BS for a while, then head into the city for lunch or go for a drive or whatever.
What do you guys think?

Well keith I'll let u decide 4 us when and where since you the one coming down a far distance cuz it no prob where we meet so long it not troubling to u or myth or any others that are coming. If you can give us directions that'll help since I'll not familiar with the area.

Dude............I don't care......I'm not too familiar with SF, although I've been to Japan Town a few times, and can find it with no problems......I was just trying to think of an easier place to meet where it wouldn't be so congested......like maybe up above the bridge.
If everyone's cool with meeting above the bridge....I think I can give directions.
If your coming from San Jose, I guess you will be going 101 north?
Cross the GG bridge going north on 101 and leaving the city,
After the bridge you'll pass the "Golden Gate Vista Point" exit.
Shortly past there on 101 take the exit ramp on the right, then go left....this will loop you around and put you on the other side of 101. Should be "Sausalto Lateral Rd." and it should go along side 101 south. You should come to a Y-split....left will put you back out on 101 south, and right will put you on "Conzelman Rd." Stay right on it and you should start going up the side of the hill away from 101.
Soon as you get on this road near the bottom of the hill there is a paved parking lot on the left for people to go walk accoss the bridge. This would be a good meeting point, then we could go up that road and there are some cliff side areas to pull over and take some photos with the bridge in the backdrop.
Time wise I don't care...maybe around 11:00? I can come when ever though.....I'll just leave with enough time to get me there at whatever time.
If someone's got other ideas on meeting places and times I'm game for anything.....we just need to finalize plans SOOOON if were gonna do this tomorrow.....because if we do meet at 11:00, I'll need to leave my house by 7:30-8:00 to get me there on time...........sooo knowing today when, where, and if you guys are gonna show tomorrow....would be nice, because i'll be pissed if I drive all that way and end up being the only one there. :mad:

I think I know what ur talking about. But just in case, plan "B" will be japan town at 1:00pm since we're gonna go there anywayz. I say give or take 11-11:30am so that anyone who's interested. I'll bring my laptop to show some stuff on what an s12 can do.

Well crap - that's not a norcal meet. That's a midcal meet. LOL If it was further north, I'd make a road trip of it, but SF is a bit far for a 5 car meet.

Cool.....i'll be in that parking lot by the bridge around 11-ish.
It's pretty easy to find.....it's the only road that goes up the hill by the bridge and borders the coast on the 101 south side.
Bring a digi camera if you got one....I'll bring mine as well.

Where are you in Sac? I'm up near Folsom off of HWY 50. We should meet up sometime.

Just to let you know I hang out with a bunch of DSM guys on sat nights AT the tacobell/pizzahut on the corner of windingway and sunrise. I am there no mater the weather if it is raining we just go to someones house and play granturismo. I tend to get there around 9:30pm. right know I drive my lancer out because the S12 needs some work. but youguys are welcome to join us we love to have difrent cars showup having just DSM'S there gets a little old. and I live in rancho cordova right by the in and out off sunrise. If you want to come I will post a pic of my lancer so you know what to look for :)

Yeah man.........thats cool. Not quite sure where the In and Out is, but I live like 30 minutes from the Costco on Sunrise in Rancho Cordova. I go out to the Pick-N-Pull out there on Recycle Road sometimes.
