I have a photochop....this is the scoop I want. it's a 2nd gen RX-7 Turbo Hood. I can't remember where but you can get a fibreglass replica of just the scoop.

I have a 84 s12 with a big hood scoop and custom turbo vents in the side of the hood. Im going to be molding the originall hood in with bondo and cutting a bigger opening in it. Pics will be up soon.

I like it but i think straight lines go with the S12 better then curves.

What do u guys think about these hood vents, or similar, i could make them myself out of fiberglass, or a similar desgin, and also how do u rais the back of the hood to let the hot air out?

i am working with dexler (from this forum) on making CF and F/glass bonnets and pannels for the s12. I will have a mould and a prototype in 4 weeks (got other car comitments). I will also have a mould for the Swift GTi's (my gf drives one....not me!). Just food for thought.

2 raise the back of the hood, u basically take the hood off, grab a couple of washers that equals about 5+mm (depending on how u like it) and then bolt the hood back on

BUT be warned that this mod is not legal in alot of countries, becoz r involved in a head on accident, the bolt holding ur bonnet isnt holding on by as much as the factory crash tested it, and the bonnet will come thru the window. u work out wot happens next in the story.

most jap cars that have this mod is becoz they r getting a new bonnet with vents. so this is just a temporary thing

Here is the hood that D just finished for Mr.200's 200. I looks amazing, and the scoop is functional.

We still have to add some cheese, but this didn't actually take too long.(one afternoon) 8)
