I was working on my 87 MK2 last Sunday and this young marine asked me, is that an 86. I told him no, it's an 87. He paused and said, I didn't know that toyota made an AE 87. You can only imagine my reaction.

One time, Ryan and I were working on the S12 and one of his neighbors came up and asked if it was a Delorean.
This was 5 minutes after I told him people ask all the time if it's a Delorean.

When I take the 84 hatch with louvers to pick up the kid at school, his friends refer to me as the "Back to the Future man".

Remember this picture? I'm sure most of you have had your S12's mistaken for the Delorean. I see no resemblance whatsoever. I usually play along and ask them if they would like to see my "flux capacitor." Hey, it's all about "back to the future" with our cars (30 yrs)!
