New classic Japanese racing/drifting/style/culture brand Silhouette Autosports
I was actually about to post asking how this was coming lol great job man can't wait to see the logo. Ill deffinately help Rep your brand man around my town lol can't wait to see your ideas come alive with this. I also have something in the works that will hopefully launch in a years time. But that's hushed right no lmao
good like man!
thanks. heres the first logo design
I also made it so the first S is replaced by the Silvia Lightning Bolt S but i think most people wont get it and they'll think it says Ilouette Autosports. Ilouette sounds like a place in Georgia or something

I'm liking that shit right there son! Lol
thanks. its just the basic start. gonna finish it out a little smoother and fill in a lot of the blank white area without losing the white completely
You mean like so? http://silhouetteautosports.com/
gary you are awesome! Thank you. Heres my ideas for it. I for sure want the website to be modern and professional even tho the brand is somewhat nostalgic. the brand should be modern while representing something nostalgic. and it can be kinda like some of the other popular car culture websites out there. hopefully we can link it with the facebook page and keep both updated easier. eventually there will be a store on the site. products would start out as just stickers and t shirts etc. later it'll have components we build like the rear trailing arms cuz i figure theres always people that dont want to or dont have time to do it themselves. kinda like mazworx selling vh45 swap mounts. they are super simple to build but some people still just want to buy that type of stuff and get on with building the car. anyway those are just the ideas. you know way more than me and i trust you. I'd love if you could be Silhouette Autosports IT guy. you can call/text/email me ([email removed]) about it and lmk how much it all costs. Thanks again.
yeah almost like add in requests to build and build em and so on.
I think you should def make those rear trailing arms i will buy a set when they are available
Same here... I like just installing parts lol its so much easier than fabbing and measuring and all that....
whats the word on shirts/stickers? how much is it?
Oh i never got a.response so i wasnt sure if you wanted me to ill talk to the guy i know. how many stickers and shirts and what sizes or do.you want just stickers for.you for now and just a shirt for you to get the name out there? Also what size stickers?
prob 20-30 shirts assorted sizes and 20-30 stickers 12-16 inches long
I want a shirt and sticker!! I will Rep your shit! Lol
Shirts and stickers!
How much you gonna charge for the shirts & stickers
Ok I will check and get back to you...
thanks.
Hopefully they will just be cost of shipping. much more worth it to me for you guys to enjoy and really get behind the name. like its about more than just me but its about everything S12s are. the whole culture of being an old school enthusiast and a motorsports enthusiast at the same time

Lol alright cool man
PM me your info and what size shirt. putting a list together for the first run
I like the banner! Is that the same design that will be on the stickers/ shirts?
Im on board with this Waylon! Makin' a move! I especially like the garage-life/classic J-tin culture aspect too, since that resonates most with me.
How wide of an automotive spectrum will the brand represent? Or just your idea regarding that currently?
Yeah, we will get this rolling.
I want shirts and stickers :(
Thanks guys. Its definitely not just an S12 thing. I like more than just S12s and I think most of you guys can dig other old school cars too. Its for sure gonna be focused on classic nissan but thats not to say thats its exclusive of any other brands. And obviously it has to do with drifting and circuit racing as well as the garage built lifestyle and love of japanese design. But we dont want to just stand on the sideline and watch. We take it up a notch cuz we gotta drive!. This line pretty much sums it up.
"Silhouette Autosports is a racing team, garage, and brand. We create our style by mixing classic Japanese racing with grassroots American drifting. We pay hommage to the great "Silhouette" cars of the 80s while affirming an aggressive style of drift."
t shirt and sticker designs are still in the works. We will probably do them in runs with different designs each run. I like what I've already made but I want them better before theyre made.
And I'd like to announce that Gary (Wonderingraven) is officially Silhouette Autosports' Webmaster/tech department and we are now a 2 car S12 drifting team. Our friend Jeff is our crew chief. He's been a big help to me during the several past drift events. It helps a lot to have other people with you, pulling for the same goal. I can focus on driving the car more and ultimately we all win.
I do need someone with an arts/design background to help the logos and visual concepts be better. I can manage a little bit myself but I'm by no means an artist. If any of you guys have an arts background send me an email ([email removed]) and we can talk designs and cost.

Speaking of which I do have some ideas, I'll toss your way with logos and visual concepts.

And This.
Thanks! had a couple hiccups on the control arms cuz parts didnt work together but I'm on course for having them done next week. they'll be SilAuto's first product. I'm still gonna do a how-to on here so DIYers can DIY
Hey, what about doing a kickstarter type thing? Raise enough to buy the plotter, then reward the backers with stickers. That way future product can be made at cost rather than ordered?
You guys think there is enough activity to come up with $700+ to make that work?

This guys got the right idea. Thumbs up to this. I'll contribute what I can despite being a broke college student. I really want to help get this thing going.
great ideas. I'll definetly do parts kits to make it easy. So far i havent raised any money through donations. RedNeck helped me out and wrote a donation proposal thread but nothing came through. I figure I'll do shirts and stickers on a donation basis. A $5 donation is a donation, thank you. $10 doantion get stickers. $15 get a t shirt. $20 gets both t shirt and stickers. Etc from there. as we grow we can also have hats, bandanas, hoodies, all types of stuff. I would love to get a vinyl plotter though. it would make this whole thing a lot easier
Well as a sudo member I'll toss $20
Thanks Gary
I'm down for $20
thanks Eddie. Hopefully shirts can start soon. Its about $200 to do this first run of about 20 shirts in various sizes. thats doing them cheap unfortunetly. if we did them nice it basically doubles.
