Hey guys Names Arturo and im from Utah. so im planning on getting a S12 soon. wasnt planning on getting one. but i found one at a friends garage. with the body super clean, no dents or missing exterior parts, it does need a paint job but thats the least of it.
It is going to need alot of work under the hood and inside, cause its in pieces but everything is there, my friend told me that the only thing it needs is. a manifold and the turbo. so thats why im here cause i know im going to have to get some parts. it still has the stock engine. and im planning on running that for awhile until i have enough for a swap.
Also lmk if theres parts from other cars i can use. i know that the 200 family fits most parts but you know what i mean.

I currently Drive a 1998 toyota tacoma and shes my baby, im almost done paying her off so thats why im looking for a car aswell, i was planning on getting a S13 coupe witch i still want one. but i just dont want to deal with loans and payments. and the S12 is a perfect car to buy for cheap. my friend wants 1000 for it but ill see if he wants to go lower, and its a uncommon car around here, witch i like alot, i like unique cars. I hate having a car that everyone else has like Hondas and Evos and Mustangs. i want a neck breaker and the s12's got that for not even a quarter of a cost of a Sport,Lux,Exotic car.

Here's the pic of the car LMK what you guys think ill post some more soon.

Welcome! And ive never seen that turbo decal before lol nissan and there decals lol looks good. You def found the right forum for these cars Before you ask any mechanical questions make sure to.search and read and search some more most of the questions youll have have been answered more than once also there really isnt any aftermarket stuff for these cars so modding can be a pain in the ass depending on what you are trying to do . Youll fi.d that alot.of people will tell you to.ditch the ca18et thats under the hood for whatever reason. Im probably rhe only person that loves that motor lol well any way good luck with the car. Its gonna get frustrating at times but dont give up on her she will treat you right if you show her a little love.

Thanks man and ya i really don't want to mod it to the extreme, i want it for a daily and to cruse around on the weekend with my ricy friends, and for shows. what i really want to do is get it and get it running. as soon as it runs i'm just going to start fixing up the outside with a clean paint job, preferably black after seeing yours on your sig, i think black is going to be the way to go. So far the only thing I've been hearing is that the suspension is going to be tough. cause there's not that many aftermarket brands that do it, i want to drop it. I'm keeping the CA engine cause i really just want to get it and start driving it as soon as i get it. cause during the summer gas gets expensive, and maybe later swap it with an SR20. I just want to make it look clean. So aftermarket im not too worried about. the interior is a little trashed, but im planning on taking everything out and keeping it naked inside and if i get lucky with parts just start putting it all back together.

Hopefully i get it i need to go talk to him before he sells it to someone else, ill see if i can start working on it so when im ready to buy it, it at least runs.

DO NOT paint this car without first getting a local decal shop to duplicate the ones on the car... those decals are beautiful!

Zilvia12Feb 26, 2013, 1:23 pm · #8

you guys like the  turbo Decal??? cant i just get another one ??? or it it hard to get ?

ArroFeb 26, 2013, 1:29 pm · #9

VERY hard to get. As in they don't exist anymore, except on the cars. Which is why people would love to see them duplicated by a competent shop.

There were a variety of decals that were likely dealer-installed but produced exclusively for the S12... we've seen a few over the years, and most of them were for the 1984 year cars. Yours is yet another version we haven't seen yet.

wow i didnt know that well when i get it ill see if i can get someone that can duplicate it or i can just have them cover it when its time for a paint job.

never seen a white 84 turbo before. it looks great. and +1 on the decal. its timeless. is the car optioned up or optioned down? meaning does it have stuff like power windows, cruise control, digital dash etc?

StephenGFeb 27, 2013, 1:47 pm · #14

That decal is 100% pure 80's awesomeness.

Zilvia12Feb 27, 2013, 2:08 pm · #15

haha ya well ill try to keep the decal when i paint it. as for the option up down thing. i think its up ??? it does have power windows and cruse control. idk about the dashboard. cant wait to get it i really want to start working on it ASAP for the summer

shadowdriftFeb 27, 2013, 2:42 pm · #16

Haven't  seen a white s12 here yet. You are ready have the turbo scoop i see. Lucky!

Zilvia12Feb 27, 2013, 5:38 pm · #17

Well I was going to pick another color but I guess I'll stick with the white :) as for the turbo scoop. I don't like how it looks on the car in my opinion. But hey I mite change my mind as soon as I get it.

ArroFeb 28, 2013, 11:12 am · #18

I've seen two other white Turbo models before here in southern Cali.... Just not many out there. Turbo S12 never sold with manual windows, always fully trimmed except no security code lock. Most have talking lady.

IggyEGuanaMar 1, 2013, 12:08 am · #19

thats a shame. they shouldve made a trimmed down version available for the enthusiasts.
