Hey guys. I been here for 2 years. Some of you guys know me. alot don't. i think i already pissed off a few people first week i joined. im from chicago. Im a proud 5/86 xe 200sx/s12 owner and plan on keeping this as my platform for the rest of my life. I also just got last week a nissan hardbody 1989 that im trying my best to keep as a daily driver/work truck. i once owned a nissan 720 when i had no clue about cars. i can't believe how similar the pickup is to the 200sx. thanks to that. i only care about nissan's now. fuck everything else(i owned over 10 cars and i found my home).
well, reason im posting is to re introduce myself. i plan on annoying the shit out of people for years to come and help out any noob's i can. with the limited info i know. im a slow learner and fast talker. or a over talker some say. i disabled my facebook that i was addicted to and now i have nothing to do with my spare time but post my ass off on this forum. I love learning. i love teaching. i suck at spelling and don't correct myself ever. i don't see the point when people understand what im talking about. i think they correct people for there own personal high. fucking grammer nazi's. plus i type fast and that backspace key is far away. im little too lazy for all that crap. i got better things to do.
lets see... Im located in chicago and feel everyone else is in either cali or vegas. Being all alone with my builds and no mechanic friends to help me out. i just got you guys and google. if i ever end up missing you can find me in my garage with the car laying on top of me with my phone out of reach to call for help. haha. im j/k. it really sucks being alone in this mechanic world. so i just want to let you know im here to stay.
first year i was here. i had hopes and dreams that where soon crushed by others or by me searching and crushing my own hopes and dreams. i didn't even have a clue. it took me that hole year of lurking in the background before i had a little idea of what is going on and what im doing. the second year was just everyday reading people's build threads and finding out these untold secrets that everyone knows and expects everyone to just know. im convinced all info can't be put into one area beacuse its unfare to the people that took them over 10 years to learn this shit and it be cheating for a noob to get all info in one thread/webpage. that be kinda fucked up. everything good can be used as bad. id guess if someone had the balls to do the biggist writeup ever. No one will get credit for the hard work and money they spend over the years. wouldn't that be some bullshit?
one of my saying is going to be... "feel free to correct me if im wrong" this is important so i don't throw people off like i once did with the sw20 shocks. no one likes ordering the wrong parts. or wireing up something wrong and burning shit out like a idiot i am. haha and im that asshole that says. "did you google it?" is there any way to say that without sounding like an asshole? i spend hours searching. sometimes days. so if im asking a question. its either im super lazy and have no time. or im lost and can't figure out the "search string" to find what im looking for. i been stuck for days on subjects before and scared to ask on clubs12 beacuse i might get someone like me saying. "did you google it". I really hate negitive feedback from people beacue i wanta jump on them and defend myself then i get myself into trouble. and i heard horr stories about people being ban from this place and i can even think of how id be able to work on my car without you guys. i can't afford anything alone a mechanic to work on my shit box's. i know how that feels when someone just jumps into a forum and dont' even think to search. i bet its hell for the people that take care of this place. i don't know how you guys do it. you must really love the s12 like i do.

re-introduce myself. a noob story.
Sup, homie. You seem like a rad motherfucker. I thought Chicago had a boomin car scene, no? And don't worry, this forum is really well-tempered compared to the vast majority. I know you rock the CA20E, you and me both. Welcome, again!
I hear chicago does have a big car scene. Back in day we had alot of street racing at doty road, rosebuds, south chicago, archer, random city spots and tinley sw burbs area. That scene is dead and drift's poping up everywhere. so there some cool turns people hang out at. we do have alot of people. But im a hillbilly back yard mechanic and don't belong in that crowd. They all show, trendy, rich fucks that i don't really get along with well. I did meet a bunch of cool guys that i will never see again. Everyone seems to stick in groups. i have a garage and tools and a basic knowledge and just don't meet people that wanta learn. they go out and pay full price for some dude to bend them over and take there money for easy work i could of done.
I lived here my hole life 29 years and im done with this town. when i go up north to wis or michgan or anywhere away from chicago people so nice and wave at you. i always think "do i know them?" nop. they just cool people outside of the stuck up chicago area. meeting people in the car scene is hard. fucking gangbangers looking at your "hard" and asking "what you looking at" i reply. "your badass car you fool!". its some bullshit. come on. im driving a 80's nissan. but all they see is some shit box. yet they driving a 240sx not knowing what a 200sx is? that still amaze's me considering the 200sx is the 240sx's predecessor.
i plan on moving out this shithole in next year. so my ca20e is going back in my s12 shell when im done welding the chassis up. the ca18det is going to have to hold for later date. unless someone can really motivate me and i just swap it in. One of the problem i have with chicago is no tracks at all. 1/4 drag strips too far to break down and be stranded with blow engine or something liek that. i don't enjoy driving around in cicrcle's so anything local or within 60miles out the question. so i have to go 250miles to a track when i get my shit together. i want be able to race my motorcycle at a track also. so next place i move is going to have a local race track. i can't wait.
