So I've had this problem for a while now but it is getting worse and has got me concerned. Whenever I start my car, I'm getting slight knocking sounds along with valvetrain noises and it just sounds terrible. It usually goes away almost immediately but it is getting worse. I talked to a friend about it and he mentioned that it could be taking too long to build up pressure because my oil pump dying, and only to add to the fire, I have to oil psi gauge haha......

My motor is healthy and still pulls hard after 157k on the clock and a full rebuild is out of the question at this moment.

Anybody have any ideas?

If a rebuild is out of the question add a bottle of Lucas oil stabilizer and turn up the radio.

If you're Mexican, I hear MDF dust works good.

If you're not, dump some Lucas in there, but remember it's not fixed and just hope it lives lol.

Depends on what you get for what price. Vg's can be found pretty cheap just make sure your donors timing belt.
