Hey Guys, sucks that I'm finally here in the For Sale section but its just time to move on. I have 5 cars in the driveway and I've got to find a way to get back to working on my Z. I've made some friends here and even had a couple of opportunities to meet up with some of you which has been great. I'd love to see the car go to another forum member. There is alot of time, effort, parts and money in this car but I recently ran it too low on oil and it seized a rod bearing and I just don't have the time to swap the bottom end out. Everything else is in great shape and I'll detail that below. Here is a link to the main build thread when I went turbo. Please feel free to ask any questions or call me directly at [phone removed]. Would love to find a cool trade but would also take $1500 cash for the car. I'm located near Dayton, OH.

Car now has a top mount cast mani and a big 60 trim on it. See craigslist ad for pics.

This is basically a cut/paste from my ad on craigslist
I was driving it every day until I recently let the oil run too low and I believe the motor seized. Probably a rod bearing. There are a ton of parts and time in this car. Swap a bottom end and its up and running. I am mostly looking for trades, something 5 speed and fun to drive. Open to anything, let me know what you have. Need to replace this car as my daily. Call, text or email. 847 eight five eight 7467.
The chassis:
It's an 87 Mark II 200sx (s12)- MkII's came with a better 5 speed trans (same as s13), rear IRS, bulge in the hood, etc.
-I converted the rear tail lights and the front grill/marker lights to the earlier MkI, just has a more old school look.
-I brought this car with me from Florida and it seriously has NO rust at all. Very solid chassis.
-Actual mileage on the chassis is 135k.
Exterior:
-It has original black paint. No real fading or clear coat peeling its just kind of dull and could use a good buff or wet sand. The only real issue with the paint is that it has a lot of TINY white specs on the top of the car. Looks like overspray but I'm fairly certain it isn't. You can't see it from 10 ft. I also resprayed the hood. It looks decent but not perfect.
- No damage, major dings, dents, cracks etc. Clean and straight.
-Some chipping of paint on the window trim, etc.
Interior:
- The worst part by far is the top panel of the doors. Just too much exposure to heat/sun and the vinyl has cracked. I've been meaning to spend a couple hours and pull it off and replace it with cloth. Just haven't gotten around to it.
- Grant steering wheel
- Pro Sport boost and fuel pressure gauges in custom panel (replacing digital clock)
- No radio
-No rips or tears in the seats front or rear, they could just use a good cleaning. Like one of those carpet shampoo deals.
-No cracks in the dash
-I never got around to connecting the tach signal but it is just a one wire connection. I've just used the tach on the SAFC.
The Swap:
-Basically I was able to use the factory s12 crossmember and bolt in an s13 DOHC with factory mounts. The trans is nearly identical between the MKII S12 and the s13 except that the S12's is shorter. So I used the factory S12 trans and swapped the bellhousing with an s13. Bolts right up using stock driveshaft and trans crossmember. Pretty straightforward, all factory parts.
-I used a complete stock s13 ECU and harness. I even went through the extra effort to wire in the s13 diagnostic port if you want to run Nissan datascan or Nistune, etc. So the car has been super reliable. Starts every time. Its been my daily off and on for the last 6 years or so. About 3 were NA and the last 3 have been turbo.
- The motor itself is a completely stock KA.
- I'm using a cast iron log style top mount manifold because I had cracking issues with the cheapo tubular ones. I am looking for reliability first and foremost. I ported the manifolds inlets quite a bit to get them to match the head ports/gasket.
- The turbo is a freshly rebuilt (2000 miles) true Garrett t3/t4 60-trim. I believe it flows upwards of 50 lb/min so its good for 450ish whp.
-Has a Turbosmart external wastegate w/ open dumptube
-In an effort to keep things compact and reliable I used a factory intercooler/radiator setup from a Volvo. I've seen guys make good numbers on this intercooler and it keeps the charge piping on either side about a foot or less for good spool. Very compact setup.
- For fuel I have a Walbro 255 in the back, SR 370cc injectors in the factory rail and regulator and an SAFC. The car could really use a tuned ecu though.
- Z32 MAF
-ACT Heavy Duty Clutch/Pressure Plate
- I also swapped out the factory 4.11 diff for a 3.54. This is always a smart move on a turbo car but it also drops down rpms when cruising a TON. So the speedo is off a bit but I'm getting over 30mpg's haha.
-Handbuilt 3" exhaust from turbo all the way back to a Magnaflow muffler.
Suspension/Wheels
-I replaced the shocks with factory replacements about 2 years ago
- It has Canuck Motorsports lowering springs on it
- Delrin rear subframe bushings
-17x7" wheels. Can't remember the name of the company off the top of my head. I believe the tires are 225 all around and have some decent tread left.
I'm sure there's plenty of stuff I'm forgetting but I think that gives you a decent idea of the things I've done to the car. Its certainly not perfect but considering I never see s12's anymore its definitely rare and a solid rust-free platform.
