In the world of hi-tech gadgetry, I've noticed that more and more people who send text
messages and emails have long forgotten the art of capitalization. For those of you who
fall into this category, please take note of the following statement...
"Capitalization is the difference between helping your Uncle Jack off a horse.
and
Helping your uncle jack off a horse."
Is everybody clear on that?
If only i had some of the messages that my Graduated stalker use to send me (she still tries but i often do not reply).. Everything is wrong to the point that it is almost unreadable. one or two words out of a paragraph might be spelled correctly. Personally I think the teacher gave up and did all the work for her.
It is a dying art, hell even when I text I don't use shorthand or abbreviations. If I can understand it I don't read it.
I had to take a written math test the other day. It was a bit tougher than it should have been. If you don't use it you lose it.

Don't forget that spelling in general is going the way of the Dodo.
It's just a matter of time until the english language is reduced to syllables, grunts, and utterances. Returning back to our roots and killing all progress.

Focus on something that matters, you wouldn't understand 16th century English. And 23th century English speakers will think your 21st century perfectly correct English is retarded.
I have more pressing matters than your perfect grammer on your fancy phone. By the way, can I extend a loan to you @ 18% for that $150 phone that was made in China for $1? That way you'll never miss your favorite multi-million dollar sports player. Don't worry, if you default because of your decreased wages, the government will help me out.

Take it easy guys, don't get all huffy(Not the American bike now made in China). A little return flack will do you some good. It's still the same, from back when I was in grade school in the 80's, we had these teacher snots, who while our world was falling apart, were priding themselves on their government jobs, and perfect English - I'm going to break that union and their egos - They get paid on my tax dollars, and they'll be teaching Chinese and spanish soon enough. That's what their education skills left us with after all.
And any more off topic talk will result in some consequences....

Most of all. If people can't speak or read what is trying to be said, it would be incredibly difficult to convey ANY message now wouldn't it?

I feel your pain, but sadly you are hunting in the wrong direction. All of your elders, very likely, received their educations from public schools, including Pell Grants. Every dollar spent on public education, pays back four fold. You have to focus on the big picture, with eyes and mind wide open. The Tea Parties (there are dozens) have a very short sighted myopic view, be careful.
