haha, dumbass.  You better consider getting a winter tire/ wheel set-up on there before you truly fuck something up, which I would see happen to such a nice S12.

On a side note, I like the intercooler snow chiller.  Bet it works better than a co2 sprayer..lol

What's that wire? Pedobear trap? Cheesy

2toneSilviaNov 16, 2010, 10:15 pm · #4

That thing is WAY too low to go anywhere in the snow  wideeyed2 It doe's look hella nice, though  yes I'm sure the snow is headed my way. It's raining @ the moment. Have fun digging her out!

remind me of a new years eve party at a friend's house... I was using my first s12 as a daily... so it was my winter drive also... this friend of mine got to "lazy" to plow the 2 feet of know that came down in less than 40hours that year.... Imagine the freaking huge mountain of snow that was blocking his driveway... so I got there first and decided to give it a go backwards.... hahaha I ended up just like you, stuck on a similar wood side thing... but with the diff jacked up on a huge hardened snow boulder that was hidding beneath the freaking mountain mountain of snow.... both wheels free spinning in the air loll... took us 2 hours to get it out of there, because the more we digged, the more the car sank in what turned out to be a nearly 4 foot snow drift.... I got out of 3 winters with my s12 as a daily driver and this is the only time I got stuck... open diff with good winter tires and drifting every corner... man I miss those years!

O way to go Kusta, I hope your satisfied with yourself!

KustamogenNov 16, 2010, 11:00 pm · #7

I GOT IT UNSTUCK! lol....just dug out the rears and floored it with a friend pushing it sideways......and I dont plan on driving it in this type of weather.....just had to be somewhere so I had to take it out since the mx3 was dead....I have so much camber wear now that the inners are nearing the bald stage....how I didnt get stuck while out driving I have no idea haha

the wire/cords to the mx3!!! charging the battery....piece of shit car.....I dont need a trap to get the kiddies Wink

lol @ tommy...Ive done that too at the bottom of my driveway with other vehicles

Praizewood on 10:09:11 PM / 16-Nov-10What's that wire? Pedobear trap? Cheesy

It's a live wire plugged straight into his Canadian style outlet so carefully placed into the deep snow so when unsuspecting kids walk by they go ZAP! And Kusta to have for for a few Hours.

XanoNov 17, 2010, 6:55 am · #14

Cant say you didnt try to convince me that the S12 is fine in winter either...up UNTIL you tried driving it once in winter. gg jay. Tongue

StephenGNov 17, 2010, 6:56 am · #15

All aboard the s12 Failvia

KustamogenNov 17, 2010, 7:04 am · #16

hahaha Ive never once said the s12 is fine for winter....its a horrible winter car....doesnt mean it cant be done on rare occasions though haha

JayNov 17, 2010, 3:28 pm · #17

No, I did.
And I still stand firm on if UNMODIFIED, As I've said every other time. Stock, they handle winter great. After suspension, I choose life.

sam31183Nov 19, 2010, 7:11 pm · #35

its supposed to snow this weekend on the beach...it normally waits until march to snow...i dont fucking know why it waits so late...but it does. My rear tires haz camber wear so i r scared....

KustamogenNov 19, 2010, 7:48 pm · #36

yum my rears are so camber worn....inside half = bald....outter half = perfect.....yay camber!

LeegamerNov 19, 2010, 7:49 pm · #37

Pull the tires off and flip them and re-mount.  Unless they're directional.

sam31183Nov 20, 2010, 3:21 am · #38

directional...my tires arent bald....yet. I am going to be picking up some new tires here eventually....my ex step dad told me the other night i can have the slicks/steelies for autox...so i might just get some hankooks to daily on instead of azenis. I had some k106s on the 626 and they had awesome tire wear, did ok in the snow, and had predictable grip loss.
