Thats what i did to the plenum and balace tube on the z32 today. I sprayed the it with a white sandable primer, and then sprayed the purple.  Same thing goes for the balance tube.

my BIG mistake was that i didnt use self etching primer on the purple, the plenum was cast aluminum so regular primer doesnt stick too well. The second mistake was, that the original purple was very dark, like a dark plum. I layed more primer on top of that and then did the bright purple. Its not the best choice, but it worked at the time. Im going to get another plenum and then do it right the first time.

Now i just need one more color to complement those two. Any ideas? i was thinking a bright orange or a light blue?
