Usually when we do a Midwest meet, it's at my place (pretty central to everyone), but I'm down for whatever.

So what up midwest bitches, we still haven't done a summer meet yet this year and it's almost over! (though I don't have a problem with a fall meet)

If people wanna drive a BIT more (talking more to Jay) we can do it at my place, ive got tons of driveway, and if you wanna stick around during the evening and have beers we could have a small bonfire and such, pretty cool lookin place here.

OP, do you live IN chicago? im guessing not, curious where exactly you live.

Either way, where I'm at is 2.5 hours from chicago, around 2 hours from Matt's house (matt being the other guy responding here).  I was just telling Jay last night he needs to drive here and hang out one of these days.

My problem is my car isnt in any shape to drive a distance atm, i need to work on too much shit to trust it right now.

Mainly need to get my subframe bushings in (which i dont trust myself to do alone) and need to get a passenger window.

They always are. we're spread VERY thin in the midwest... Cali/west coast guys being the most abundant.

Damn.

Just a quick idea.. make a poll, with all of the states, and we can see whos in what state, or which state most people agree on..

Clowny is a good 5-6 hours as well, and he prolly wont make it no matter what we do.

Wow Jay actually you'd have a longer drive than Clowny would lol.  like i said the other day though, you gotta come down to chill for a weekend regardless someday, rofl.

I am in no position to offer a meet place myself. I live in a motel in West Chicago, IL. My 200sx is down since March 2010, making it a mascot for the motel. Been looking for gas tank straps. Seems both have rusted out in the middle of the band on bottom side of fuel tank. The tank is hanging on to car only by the top of the fuel pump, which is mounted to trunk. Not too street worthy, one spark and I will be riding in 200sx heaven. I have been walking, hoofing it in hopes of finding these hard-to-find parts. Seems that when salvage yard yanks gas tanks, they discard the straps with the car to the crusher. Anyway, if I were mobile I would drive anywhere to be able to connect with other club members. I have friends that are Studebaker enthusiasts and we are all of a breed of extreme hobby people to love our cars this much, even though mine is losing the battle with Illinois winter salt and not being able to live in a garage, but on the street. I envy people that have garages. Some day, maybe...
