Performance Exhaust Manifolds

So, in my discussion with Markus/RaceSilvia, I mentioned that there had been much interest concerning his exhaust manifolds.

Due to his schedule and circumstances, he isnt active on this forum at the moment... or in general over on the Finnish forum he frequents. However, he has made it available that anyone who has any serious interest in any exhaust manifolds, he can get a quote for them. Markus has asked me to let him know if there was any proper interest. I cannot answer any technical questions at the moment, but I will supply with what I do know.

Markus does this stuff for a living. He is an exhaust engineer amongst other things; the obvious drifter and pro am racer. His father has also been in the race car engineering business. So these parts are of quality and are tried and true. Honestly, if Markus uses one of these and he truly uses his car in ways that most of us do not, then it must hold up and have quality. Something I am sure we can all tell by the picture.

The exact manifold Markus has on his SR can be considered a bit much, but he did mention that if someone was serious, he can get a quote for them. Otherwise, he does have more normal/traditional SR20 models available. For a T3 top mount turbo, one has the option of either a pulse enhancing design for a twin scroll or a regular 4-1 collector.

With the Euro dropping against the US dollar at the moment, basic prices are those competitive to that of Full-Race and the like of the top end manifolds that are sold domestically.

I will try to get some pictures of his manifold and a couple others if there is a demand and at his convenience seeing how busy he is.

Not to be an ass, but I did mention that I'm gonna try to get some pictures in my last sentence before the edit. Granted I said if there was enough demand for pics, but it's obvious that things sell better with pictures. The only pictures I have that is of any detail isnt all that great, so I'm waiting for more pics.

Sideways, I have had some interest as concerning CA18DET manifolds. I am even interested in a RB manifold from him. Knowing that he does this for a living, I am sure he has ventured into the realm of manifolds for other engines. I am waiting to hear back what other details he has. Busy guy so replies are delayed more than what many of us expect as normal.

I will post up pics and details concerning other engines when I hear back.

it might be difficult for him to make an exhaust manifold for another engine without another engine in a s12 in front of him....I am not sure what kind of other s12s are near him though in finland that he might be able to use as prototypes....but from what i am aware of there is a lack of ka engines out there....

Hmmm, interesting point, but as far as I see there, Colin only mentions the SR.

Colin, just get quotes on those three configurations. 99% of S12 guys are going to show interest if there's a dollar estimation for them to chew on for awhile. Likewise, 99% of them are likely to just think, "wow that's cool" and never take it serious without some kind of idea what they'd be saving up for.

an exhaust manifold for the sr that can fit and work inside an s12 might work good in an s13/s14 as well...the market is kind of flooded with s13/14 manifolds...but it might widen his available market as well...just a thought.

but normal sr aanifolds kinda fit fine...

He isn't selling fitment, he's selling exhaust flow design, and what Markus makes will flow far better than 70% of available SR manifolds... probably good for a chunk of HP right there.

Arro, I do know how to sell things. I am aware that pictures help heaps. I am also aware that prices are quite important. But again, if you read, I did state that prices are competitive with that of a Full Race manifold. If I was given specific numbers I would have put them up. But I am pretty sure that anyone serious would be aware of Full Race manifold costs. And if they were that serious, they would also send me an email or pm me.

Also stated before, I am waiting for confirmation on prices, engines, and pictures of manifolds that he has available. Markus did mention that if anyone was serious to let him know and he would get quotes and such.

However, thank you for answering David's question for me. You are correct as far as the manifolds being made for flow designs within particular parameters. As for the claim that it will flow better than 70% of the available manifolds, that has not been said or made official that I'm aware of.

Sam, I dont think he's worried about a market. He is doing well at his job and such. Just offering an option to S12 owners who own SRs.

More information, pictures, and such will be made available when the information is given.
