SR S12 Fun times

So i figured i would make a build thread.So here is how it started out when i bought it

1986 200sx
Sr20det redtop
Greddy profec b @14psi
2.5" Dp to 3" to Vibrant flat black muffler
Apexi S-AFC
B&M ripper shifter
Starion FMIC
lowering springs with KYB gas adjust. ( soon to be coilovers)
Walbro 255lph
Nismo fpr
Autometer gauge setup
Konig rewinds



So then i crashed it a little bit and then did a temporary fix so i could make it to the drift event



Then the winter came so i painted the valve cover and IC piping grabber green, and picked up a Sparco EVO II and a RCI 5 point harness



Made a hydro hand brake, and picked up a Innovate LC1 wideband w/ Titan Motorsports gauge


I got tired of the shitty fitment with the bent rad support so i am in the process of buying a parts car. I pulled the rad support and now i am just waiting to get the straight one. And yes a E-Fan will be going in soon. Here is how it sits now




Waiting to get my Vehicle Inspection cause cops are teh ghey. After the V.I, Seat, harness and hydro hand brake will be installed along with welding the diff up

Rad support is now in, fixed my downpipe so no my wideband is completly installed. Got to work out some wiring issues then going in for a inspection today. I have to pass, i need to go drifting on sunday

I made it to the track sunday for some drifting and only 9 cars which was sick, so lots of track time. Anyways tons of fun first time out in the car since last year. I will get a video and some pics up soon.
 The bad new was the blown turbo i got from the day. 2 1/2 hr drive home sucked with a blown turbo. Getting another t25 for $140 this saturday

So was just out at D-Day 6 went good. I got my turbo in the night before and held up good and only cost $100.Some pics of the install.

Shitty thing is the next night, after sliding a corner and stopped at my friends house. I noticed a slight knocking from the engine bay. Turns out car got towed home..... Gotta love SR rod knock. Good news is i should be picking up a SR with a cracked head for $250

i was messing around with a picture i took today, here's the result

So could be competing next year in DMCC West. That means a build up of the S12 this winter including cage and a few other things.

Interior stripped for the most part, all of the sound deadening is gone, I just have to take of some of the plastic panels. Should be getting ready for a cage soon

So I finally got a engine lift to my house and pulled my SR, it's been to long since it got rod knock. Now teardown.
I was surprised on the condition of the clutch, still looked pretty good lol.
Drivers side motor mount was broken, fell off when the engine came off it

your car looks like david b's cars twin with the hood of and sittin at the track.

so i took the head off a few weeks ago but i was extremely lazy and haven't taken any pictures.

Should be cleaning up the engine bay this week and probably stitch welding the engine bay up this weekend.

I am just working on selling my dirtbike so i can get some more cash flow for:
Good head
good crank
ACL race bearings
Eagle rods
forged pistons

Finally got some pics up, you can see part of the #1 rod bearing and how bad it was as it is jagged and folded over the sides





got some cleaning up to do in the engine bay along with stitch welding


and the minty crank i picked up

So little update, no pics due to dead batteries, hopefully some pics in the next couple days.
Painted all my interior so its nice and black
block has been hot tanked so it's nice and clean
Oil pump, full gasket set, and S14 oil pick up (last in Canada hurrah!!) have all been ordered.
just waiting on some more cash flow so i can order in CP pistons, eagle rods and send the block out to get some machining done

someday i will get up some actual pics.
In the mean time i am picking up my CP pistons tomorrow, and going to be getting a sparco sprint V with rails for $200

drive that thing to calgary when youre done

might just have to, maybe hit up some drift practice out there as well

race city kinda blows.....although I havent been there in a few years so maybe they cleaned up their act. Ive kinda fallen outta the local car world due to my gay ass anxiety issues the last half decade.

If the city and the racecity owners could finally come to an agreement on land shit maybe they would finally fix up the facility to its former glory!

I have been super lazy on this build. It will be done before next summer for sure even if i have to get some kind of loan. But i did get a sparco srpintV with sidemount rails for $200

So i might be picking up a shell for $1000 w/ cage,coils, modded rear subframe and front spindles

Finally did some work on my car, actually been stoked to work on my car again

rails still need some more modification so the seat can sit lower

Wow man - I totally missed this thread! Looks like it's all coming along nicely. Hope to see this car running out west some day! :yes: I live close to Cow-town and I agree - Race City is a pot-holed pile of crap lol.

lol ye i have heard race city is pretty bad. Not getting that shell anymore, not really sure what happened to the whole deal but he is using the car again this year.
Saving up for a shortblock right now, as i don't have the money to finish the rebuild
