18det Wiring Questions!

alright, so im tryin to get this thing rollin but havin some issues.

got all the wires i could see on here too hook up without using relays, but i got no spark and i dont think my ecu is powering up.

the only reason im startin a new thread is cuz none of the how-to's really show how to use the stock s12 wiring,only how to add in relays. and i thought if i could get it to work i could make a how-to. i know mod-mastaz has done it, but after about an hour of reading through his build thread, i couldnt get definitive wiring instructions.

heres what i got so far,

from the smaller s13 connector:

s13..............................use...............................s12
red/black..............ecu relay................................ blue/red
Black/Yellow....................IACV...........................to 12v key on

From the Bigger S13 8 Pin Connector

s13...............................use...............................s12
Big Black/Red AND Blue/Red.......Ign/Fuel...........................Blue
Red............................ECU back-up......................Black/Red
Black/White.....................ECU power........................Black/Green
Black............................ground.............................ground
Brown.............................o2 heater.......................to 12v key on

Under Dash
s13.................................use.................................s12
orange...........................start signal................spliced INTO black/yellow.

so ive only used s12 wires out of that one 8 pin connector thats under the MAF... everyone talks about 3 connectors. so what else do i need and/or what are the other connectors? i dont see any other ones there.

Heres the leftover wires i have in these connectors:
8pin s12:
yellow/green.
orange/blue
blue/white

8 pin s13
white(knock sensor?)
blue/green-thermistor control. what the hell is that?

small s13
white
blue
green/yellow-a/c relay
black/pink(fuel pump wire. where this go??)

when i turn the key to "run" i cant hear any of the relays powering up, one blue one on the driver side clicks, and one on the passenger side sounds like it clicks.

so what else does this ho need to run and/or what do i have wrong?

any help is GREATLY appreciated. seriously, you will be my hero

there are lights on the ecu that should come on...if not, then no power to the ecu

Yos. PM me and I'll give you my number. My thread doesn't have much wiring info because I didn't see much interest while I was doing it so I didn't bother. Since you have a MK2 there are some differences, so take some pictures of your connectors. I'll try to dig up my wiring notes and see how far I can get you. When I helped TurboS12, he got his car running in a day after he dropped the motor in.

Edit: I forgot to mention some of the S12 wires differ from car to car because it seems Nissan was smoking crack when they did the harness. My fuel pump ground is WHITE on my S12 chassis, but on other cars it's BLACK. Just remember not all wire colors are the same from chassis to chassis.

Take pictures of the entire airbox area so we can spot those connectors you need. I think the MK2s have a starter signal wire within the engine bay too. I know they have an extra underdash plug which I don't have since my car is wired like a MK1.

so i got ecu power now.

i can hear clicking when i crank it, but i pulled a plug and couldnt smell any gas on it, so i dont think its gettin fuel either.

check timing?

when i installed mine i didn't tension the timing belt right, and when i cranked the car, the belt slipped off. Thought it was a wiring issue at first

Do you have the coil transistor and injector resistor wired up or plugged in? Make sure the Ignition and fuel injector wires are getting 12V.

i turn the key too off, and it just keeps on running!
