ok so some of the lights on my gauge cluster were burned out and I with the help of eminem_rh25 aka ryan we pulled out the top part of the trim on the drivers side of the dash and removed the guage cluster

upon removal I felt something in the back and twisted and removed it a holder for a 194 size bulb the exact same size for red bulbs at vato-zone so I replaced them with red and they weren't as bright as the white ones that produced the orange light but I'm going to change them back because the battery in my car was going dead and I did this at about 2:30am so I never got to start the car and see how bright the car really is I have some pics that I will post up I really enjoyed the new set up although the whole cluster isn't red most of it is the lights that you will still need red are

the alternator guage
oil pressure gauge
coolant temp gauge
fuel gauge

I'm not sure where to get these lights they are far smaller then the 194's so I'm guessing radio shack or a hobby store similar that sells lots of different sized lights I would replace everything now and get some pics with the car running to see how bright the lights really are but I just had 4 wisdom teeth pulled so all i have for now is pics I'll actually do the rest later in about 4-5 days or so and have pics of the whole gauge cluster I personally like it not totally converted

on the left side the cluster the volt meter gauge gets redder the farther right you go I kind of like that and I might just leave it that way makes it look cool if your volts are going too high

If anyone would like me to do a write up because of the way it looks lmk I have nothing better to do for 4-5 days while I recover

keep in mind my battery was a budget battery turning out 11 volts and barely started and the terminals are soooo corroded so hopefully on your car they will look brighter I replaced the battery and it looks brighter in white already replacing the lights soon plus the camera is ancient

pics up soon
I did this on my corolla and loved it, i figured it wouldnt work on the nissan cause the light up areas on the nissan are orange colored, but good to know, i bet red is about the only color it works with though, as red will still show up with an orange filter.

I suppose ill get around to this soon, my empty tank light is out and some other random indicator lights as well.
