These plugs are ridiculous! I switched to these from NGK's and the difference is amazing. Its intense. I am selling these at $21.00 per plug and its worth every penny. Dsport showed dynos of cars before and after pulstar and it actually showed gains. i dont have i dyno in the shop yet so i cant do that but i don't even need to put it on one. just driving my car i can feel the difference.
Someone said they dont make a big difference in turbo'd cars but my ca18et feels extra smooth now. less knock on the graph on my safcII no more miss. its awesome.
Email me at [email removed] with year make model and eng size or code.

It says they're safe for use in "all" vehicles, but I imagine they are thinking stock conditions. The same is true for Bosche Platinums, until you turn up the boost and they fragment. I can't help but wonder how these might hold up under higher boost conditions. I searched for reviews but so far nothing. It's a new product, so who knows?

Is it one of those 1,000,000 volt plugs? Read about them in Popular Mechanics. Interesting stuff.

jeffwins24Feb 22, 2008, 12:46 am · #4

are they really worth it i read on the Z forums to stick with NGK But I'm always looking for performance on every car i can get my hands on.

isn't it the plug wire that make a diff? i heard that nology plug wires are crazy stupid awesome.

EDIT: those damn plugs better fix my misfire isuuse for 80 damn dollars hell thats more expansive then bosch.

Which type of NGK's were you running previously before switching over to Pulstar and how old were they?

caraudiofooleryFeb 22, 2008, 2:47 am · #6

i know platinums that have 35psi out of a gt42r and had no failures.. been in the car for over 2yeras now.. i think they are more prone to failure under detention conditions

haha but Bart, detonation/knock happens! One of the more important facets of turbochazrging, and it doesn't matter how tight you tune your a/f ratio. DSM forums, Nissan Z forums, Chrysler turbo forums, Supra forums.. they all warn against platinums, because they are known to fragment. A smaller conducter is easier to damage.

NGK standards > platinums

As far as these newcomer plugs.... who knows. Someone try them with soe good boost (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

ya i know just wanted to say that they do take boost ok to a limit.. all evo 8's run platniums stock.... so yea they can take boost but nothing too wild

my dad loves the densos in his blown 5.0 cobra

he said they made a huge difference "like night and day" over the motorcraft ones that were in there before

hes run 12 psi on it for years, held up great

jaidedeyeFeb 22, 2008, 5:01 pm · #11

looks promising but wondering if they are too hot for a FI application. ive laways ran copper plugs in my boosted and nitrous cars. they seem to hold up alot better and for the price of 1 irridium i can buy a whole set of copper's

good luck selling these new plugs on this forum...ive come to find out that most s12 owners are tightwads

two nights ago i changed my plugs i always run ngk v powers so i put a fresh set in. it always runs a little better with new plugs. but, then i came into work and put in a set of pulstars and tok it for a test drive and it is just a hell of a difference. i was very skeptical and i still am skeptical as to how long they'll last. im running about 14-15 lbs right now and i have been for a long time. today im going to go fill up my tank and see if my gas mileage improved also as it is supposed to with these plugs. w/ older plugs i get 20mpg, fresh ngks i get 21mpg. so if i see something crazy like 24 or 25, i won't be using anything but pulstars. and about selling them here being a bad idea...thats what i thought b/c they're so damn pricey. i know all or most of us here are fairly frugal bastads but we also all like to see great results with our s12's. ill post back in a week or so and let everyone know if the gas mileage went up.

drftnassmofoFeb 26, 2008, 9:25 pm · #15

Still on the same tank of gas. It'll be gone in two days or so then i'll let you know what happened with my mileage. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

For me, platinum spark plugs + better wires + better ignition module, you'll feel smooth under the feet.
But don't forget that forged pistons are recommended (bosch commercial seller)

drftnassmofoMar 2, 2008, 2:49 am · #17

+2mpg's! For me and my dented gas tank thats an extra 20miles per tank, which is a whole additional day of driving w/out filling up. COOL. And I was trying to beat on it a lil b/c i usually can't go a whole tank of gas without just launching it when noone is around. I don't speed, I just get up to the speed limit faster than most people (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

^^ haha that reminds me of when i got pulled over a couple days ago. the cop told me even if im not racing anyone, and i dont go over the speed limit, its still racing if i accelerate as fast as i can up to the speed limit lol ...an exhibition of speed... lol

so anyway i got away with an exhaust ticket since i pretty much let him put me in my place like cops love to do. all i know is, no points, just another 108 dollars down the drain

no more driving with open downpipe lol
