You will need a 205/40/17 tire to fit on a 17x7"+40mm offset wheel. One word of advice would be to buy a set of quality wheels from a manufacuter with a good rep. Cheap wheels tend to bend easier and aren't worth nothing when you try to sell them. I would much rather buy a use set of Racing Hart's than a new set of Excel or cheap type of wheels. So IMHO I don't like your choices. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2447012970&category=43957 here is a good example of used wheels you can get off of eBay.

If I had to choose one it'd be the second pic. If you want them to look nice I'd go 17, if your wanting a little more performance 16. Plus you'll have to think of the cost every time your gonna have to buy tires. I go through a set about every yr. So 17's would make my life ludacrisly more frustrating. Personally I stick w/ 15's. They are cheaper and lighter. The only reason I might go up to a 16 is if I have to upgrade my brakes. I'm not out to impress any one, just go fast.
