Hey everyone. Just thought I should fill you in on what's happening here. As you might know, I have a Talon, the 200SX and an Opel project all underway, plus I'm trying to go to University at the same time. It's put a serious pinch on my finances to say the least.

My fix for this problem is going to be selling the 200SX. Yes, it's going into the Auto Trader next week. I hate to see it go, but it's really the only way since the Talon isn't ready to sell yet and I really need to boost the bank account quick. Normally, this might spell my exit from the Nissan world, but in this case, that isn't so.

The Opel project, which I thought would contain RX7 parts, is now going to be a Nissan project car. I measured up the V6 in the 200 and it a nice, snug fit into the Opel. Therefore, I'm going to be doing a VG30ET swap into it, possibly with a twin turbo setup, 200SX tranny, etc. I've found that going this direction will provide me with the power I'm looking for, but at a much lower cost than going rotary.

I'm hoping this works out for everyone involved, as even though I won't own an S12 anymore, I'll be doing to the Opel what I had planned for the 200SX. I'm losing a 200SX, but gaining a 200SX Hybrid. All the wiring, engine mounts, exhaust routing, ECU tuning, etc. can all be put to use here in helping all those who plan on doing a VG30ET swap into their S12.

So that being said, everything here will continue as usual, as long as everyone wants it that way. If the people want the site run by an actual 200SX owner, I'll hand it off to the most qualified applicant. But I feel that I can still offer a lot of info towards these cars, as well as maintain the site to the best of my ability. So if you'll have me, I'll continue on as Site Administrator.

Dan, this place would not be the same without you man. I understand about your financial reasons though. I think we would all love to hear about your V6 turbo setup, no matter what chassis!!
I think everything should stay the way it is, but that's just me.
I'm really bummed you have to sell, you have a rarity up there man.

Welcome to the world of Nissan mechanics in an alternative chassis...

Practical classics magazine here has just run a piece on a TVR with a CA18ET lump - this could be the start of something big...

Dan stays. He gets no choice. If I have to go fly up there and chain him to the keyboard.

Wow, Dan, that is a shock. That will be an interesting sale, "Yes, it's actually the only one in the country."
I know that Lembrooke from Toronto is looking for a car and wanted a V6, though Toronto to Saskatchewan is about the same distance from NYC to Nebraska. But for an SE, is there such a thing as too far?
I would be as selective as you can be as to who you sell it to, Dan. Like was said, it sure would be a shame for it to go to some idiot who doesn't appreciate it. If it doesn't go to a current S12 member, you should definitely try to hook the buyer up with the Club. They would be an instant "Club S12 Celebrity", being the owner of the car that inspired the creation of Club S12.
