After procrastinating for some time I finished the club logo. I had invisioned something that could also be used as both watermark and more importantly as a one-color window decal. Lo and behold it came out exactly as I pictured it in my head.

I'm calling a decal place tomorrow and we're gonna have window stickers around 4-6 inches in size. These will be white with clear where the black is. Should look great on the rear side windows.

If I recall, a lot of those decal places make them to order, might we be able to get other colors? I'd be willing to pay a little extra for an orange one. icon_cool.gif

Looks great Arro. The decal shop may have a hard time cutting out all those small letters though.

Well I'm sure it can be made on different colors, but I don't think you guys should expect it to be multi-colored, these decal places can't really do that easilly, that's more of a print job than a vinyl decal for your window or body.

But like I said solid red or blue or white or whatever is probably no problem. I figure white is pretty much the only decent color for a window stickers, but I could imagine other colors being used on body panels, say, like black on red cars, or orange on blue as was suggested.

But the white ones will be the first-run and will basically be intended for window decal use but you can put them on your mom for all I care icon_razz.gif

I personally can't wait to put these on my windows.

Just outta curiosity, since I haven't heard anyone else ask. Are these gonna be stickers that go on the outside of the car, stickers that can go INSIDE your window, or a static cling type decal. If we are doing sticker material...see if it cost any difference so that we can put them on the INSIDE of our cars. Just a thought to keep them nice a little longer.. Working at a dealership I see LOTS of cars come in with stickers on the windows..and the ones on the outside always look like crap after a while. It's bad when you try to wash their window for them and the sticker flakes off with the squeege.

That's good thinking, NISMO. Since I don't think any S12's came with tinted windows, putting the stickers on the inside should work fine. If you think about it, it should just be a matter of having them printed backwards (mirror image).
Oh and any decent decal shop will have NO trouble cutting that out at all. They all use computer-controlled cutters now, they look like big printers but with cutting blades instead of inkjets. Back when I had my Dakota I walked into one of those shops and had them cut a Dodge Ram-head logo, in red, in the size I wanted...(it was like 12"x12"..bigger than we're talking about)...as I recall it took about 10 minutes and cost 15 or 20 bucks. The detail on the decal was outstanding, and now that I think about it, that was on the outside of the back window and two years later when I sold the truck it still looked great. The unique airflow characteristics of a pickup might have helped though....that back window never got dirty or even wet in the rain.
I think a lot of the stickers you see that are peeling off are cheaper than what the decal places are using. As long as you don't hit it with an ice scraper, it should last a good long time. Unlike the Ichibahn stickers I got with my shift knob and boot. They're starting to peel.

I don't want to make inside-out stickers, they cost more (whch adds up) and more importantly if you tint your window when they are already on, you'll see the outline of the clear parts, if you put it on after your tint, you won't even see it well.

So these are on the outside. Besides, that way it's easy for the decal guy to cfhange the vinyl color for you guys who want that later on.

I want dark ass windows with these in white. Should look fucking sweet.

Man...all this talk about custom plates has me thinking!! I have no liscence plates on my car still...so I am open to do as I wish. icon_biggrin.gif I was thinking "RUBY SX" but only because there is an 87ish 300ZX (red) runnin around with "RUBY Z". I also don't want to keep my car red either. Other thoughts were "SX APL"...like SX Appeal?? (OR "Sex Appeal" rockon.gif) I dunno...anyone else got any ideas?!?! Maybe use something showing that it's an SE...or a VG?? Hmm...soo many thoughts. Oh yes!! "SXSE" hehe..I like that one!!

Wow, that is kind of stupid. Do they actually enforce it if you mod after you get the sticker? Because really if you mod your car a lot then you're likely to be changing it ever so often. Upgrades icon_smile.gif

Damn oppressive government if you ask me..stinkin' regulation-happy liberals.....that's a good way to to ruin an island paradise. Sounds almost as bad as the ridiculous hoops our Aussie friends have to jump through to legally modify their cars. Sounds like you need to voice your dissatisfaction in the voting booth in November.
